Sporty-looking, sporty-acting, and reliable
The 2009 Mazda 3 is one of the best cars I have ever owned. The build quality is fantastic, as I have driven this car for about 35,000 miles and have had no major mechanical issues. The 2.3L engine provides superb acceleration, and its turning radius is fantastic. The steering is responsive and road noise is minimal. The stereo is very clear with great bass, and the little touches of displaying "hello" on the dash when you start the car is a fun little feature. The major issue I have with the car is due to the sporty suspension, the ride is a little bumpy, and the low-profile tires will not absorb as much of the bumps. These low profile tires will be an expensive replacement in the future. The fuel economy is average with a range around 25-30 miles per gallon. I also wish there were fewer plastic pieces in the engine compartment. Own your engine! Don't hide it! That said I love the external styling with the slung-back hatch, the aggressively molded hood, and swooping lines that compliment the front and back styling. It has a vaguely 1930s retro feel. All in all, a great reliable car.

Great ride.
This car has been reliable and dependable throughout the time that I have had it. I have not always treated it the best, but it is still riding smooth after five years and 130K miles. This car is also great on gas and has a lot of giddy up and go. I've used this vehicle to move twice, and this is not a large car, but it withstood loading of a split queen box spring like a champ!

The sales people weren't pushy in terms of the sale and they were able to locate what I wanted in a relatively short amount of time.
