Our 2004 Honda Accord has more than 125,000 miles on it and is one of the most reliable cars we have owned. The interior has tan cloth and has held up well, although the driver seat lumbar support has softened over the years. The 4-cylinder engine has enough power for the majority of situations but it sometimes gets loud when we have to push it hard when passing another vehicle. Passengers remark about the large amount of leg room. It is a very quiet car and the air conditioning is also quiet. When the air conditioning is not running, it tends to get a little warm in the car. We have had very little done in the way of major repairs and it is easy to find repair shops to perform work. It is also easy to check the fluids in the engine compartment. The green finish has held up well. The a... (more)
Story
A member of my household ran into the side of the garage with the car and it survived very well.
Pros
Reliability; comfortable passenger seat; trunk pass-through; nice paint finish
Cons
Poor lumbar support in driver's seat; not very flashy; sometimes it lacks power.

I purchased my Accord used from a dealer with around 75,000 miles already on it. It has a white exterior and for the most part, I am amazed at how clean the color looks even after it hasn't been washed. I love how smooth the ride is and how well Accords are known to hold up, which is one of the biggest things I looked for when purchasing. I have owned the vehicle for almost three years and my only complaint about functionality is ability to carry a large quantity of items, which I don't do much, but the trunk size is still nice for a midsize car. Overall, it is a pleasure to drive, and doesn't have too many things that stick out as extremely positive or negative. With that said, it still is an enjoyable vehicle and the longevity and resale value the vehicle keeps makes me apprecia... (more)
Story
I just moved to the beach where everyone parks on the edge of the street. It was great to have a smaller vehicle on a busy day, because I was able to snag a parallel spot with ease that I would not have been able to do with an SUV.
Pros
Fuel mileage. I commuted 30 miles one way to and from work every weekday and only had to fill up once a week, averaging over 30 miles per gallon every tank. Having a 4 cylinder engine helps with this fuel efficiency and is one of the biggest advantages of the engine. The automatic transmission rides smoothly and the car does not jerk when changing gears. The backseat is also very spacious, and even though I usually drive by myself, people who have ridden with me have applauded how much extra room they have to spread out, and that they "aren't packed in like sardines."
Cons
My biggest issue with this car is the radio. After research, I have found it is a common problem with the generation's radio to have failure. I have experienced some problems, but not a total failure. Every few weeks the radio will connect but will not emit sound, so it basically sounds like dead air is being broadcasted. After speaking with a service technician at a Honda dealership, he informed me an internal radio failure is likely and that replacing the stock radio would be around $900 (almost the price of a down payment on a new car). The only other negative thing is that sometim... (more)

Prior to buying my Accord I owned a Ford, and it had so many mechanical problems. After 15 years and 90,000 plus miles my Accord has had absolutely zero problems. Yes, I have replaced the tires, and had the factory suggested maintenance done on time, but have never, ever had an unexpected repair. It is hard to describe how anxious I was to turn the key of that piece of junk Ford and hope it started, yet now I do not even consider my Accord will ever fail me.
Story
My wife and I have taken my Accord to the beach well over 100 times, and we (or our friends) often find shells under the seats or under the mats when we clean the car. We take it everywhere and haul anything that fits.
Pros
Reliability is all I ask of a vehicle. Anything more is just nice to have. The stereo has always been great, and since it is a 4 door there is room to haul a few friends around from time to time, and I have always thought is more solid than my friends Chevy's or Fords.
Cons
Since I have had the car for awhile I have moved several times, and it is not big enough to handle hardly any large items, with even a big TV having to go into a rental truck or friends pickup truck. However, I knew how big it was when I bought it, and understood I was not buying a pickup, so this is hardly such a terrible trait.
