2010 Ford Fusion - Simple, reliable, convenient, and fun!
The 2010 Ford Fusion was a great, reliable vehicle that served my everyday needs plus some when I owned it. It's fairly stylish, while keeping it simple, but it packs some power and a very cool and comfortable interior as well. You couldn't beat the audio system. In fact, I miss this car's premium Sony audio compared to my new car. The seats are comfortable, though you might get a little fatigued after sitting for several hours, if you don't get up and take a break. This wasn't enough to be an issue though. Overall the interior feels sporty, roomy, and welcoming. I always matched the neon teal interior lights to the blue dashboard for a chill look and feel inside. Early on, the car was easy to maintain, though later on once the transmission started acting up, this changed. However, I n... (more)
Story
Driving down to Hilton Head Island with my dad in this car was always a blast - in the hot North and South Carolina summer, cracking the windows, peeling the sunroof back, and blasting some of our favorite rock tunes made for a very enjoyable father-son road trip!
Pros
The Fusion was fun to drive. Though it didn't seem like anything more than your ordinary four-door sedan, it performed very well, had exceptional handling and response, and could get up and go in pretty much any situation. It was also very comfortable, ideal for short or long drives, and it had plenty of amenities to keep everyone happy. Great air conditioning and heat, the sunroof was a welcome component, and the audio system was unbeatable at the time. Fuel economy was stellar on the highways, topping out in the upper 30s.
Cons
The only real issue with the car came with the transmission. Once the car had about 140K miles, the transmission started acting up, and maintaining the vehicle became more expensive. Also fuel economy in the city was subpar - averaging in the low to mid 20s for a mill-of-the-run midsize sedan.
2008 Ford Fusion - Reliable everyday driver.
This vehicle is a great choice for anyone looking for a standard sedan. There are four doors, trunk, and ample space within the vehicle. I have used this vehicle many times to move back and forth, and I was always surprised at how much I can store inside. The drive is smooth and comfortable whether its a long distance drive, or a short commute to work. The gas mileage is very favorable as a single tank lasts me quite some time. I love the features of the vehicle: auto driver window, reclining seats, remote lock/unlock, radio and CD stereo.
Story
I received a compliment from a lady while I was getting out of my car at a local store. She complimented on the silver color and said the car looked as though it could compliment any aged driver.
Pros
There are so many positive things about this vehicle. Some of my favorite features are the ease of use. The steering and radio controls are very easy to use- I never felt distracted trying to use them while driving. The car gets great gas mileage for city and highway which was really nice. I like the rear cup holders and how it tucks away in the seat back. The auto lock after the car reaches 15mph I found to be something I enjoy.
Cons
The only negative things I will say about the vehicle is the top center dashboard storage. While I loved it at first I actually ended up disliking it after the bracket broke and I found out that the only way to replace the storage compartment is to replace the entire dash.
