I own a 2008 Ford Escape. This has been an excellent vehicle that has been through a lot. I drive this vehicle many miles a day to work each day. It currently has 166,000 miles and is still running smoothly. The interior of the car still looks fairly new. The seats which are not leather, resist stains very well. I have a basset hound that rides in the backseat each day and the seats vacuum up very well. I would also give the stereo system a high rating. The speakers are clear and make you feel immersed in the music you are playing. However, I wish the vehicle had blue tooth built in. I would consider this a negative. I also give high marks to the amount of space in the rear compartment. I am easily able to fit an industrial size vacuum and all types of other cleaning products with spac... (more)
Story
I have had many great experiences with this car. One particular experience that comes to mind is putting my dog, a basset hound, in the backseat and having my partner in the passenger seat, and driving down the beach on a cool, fall day. I knew I didn't have to worry about the sand getting in the car from my dog because the car is very easy to clean.
Pros
It has lasted a very long time...166,000 Miles. The upholstery resists stains, even under tough circumstances. The body of the car stands up to hits and dings. The sound system has excellent quality. It has lots of space in the rear compartment.
Cons
Gas mileage could be better. It is lacking built in blue tooth capability.

I own a black 2014 Ford Escape that I have had for about a year. It is, by far, one of the most comfortable and affordable cars that I have owned. I would recommend anyone looking for an economical family option to consider this car.
Story
We went on a family camping trip. Normally we drive our bigger SUV; but a day before we were suppose to leave, a wheel baring on it went out leaving us no other option but to drive the Escape. Needless to say by the time all of the camping stuff, us and our two kids were packed in, everyone barely had room to breathe. Luckily, we were only going camping 45 minutes away, but it was a miserable ... (more)
Pros
The Ford Escape is a stylish little SUV; and with the titanium trim level, it really is a bang for your buck. It has plenty of get up and go--not a sports car--but overall impressive for a small SUV. The seats are some of the most comfortable I've ever had--the leather is soft and hugs you as you sit. The seat warmers get HOT-- which, for me, is wonderful, and with five settings you can pick exactly your level of comfort. The A/C runs cold; and with the size, it cools and heats quick and well. The back seat is roomy enough for two adults or two car seats. The car itself is smooth driving, ... (more)
Cons
The biggest negative for me in this SUV is the trunk space. While it is okay, it is a little small to carry all that you need for a family of four. It is quite a bit smaller than the truck space in our family's comparable Mazda CX5. Gas wise it is pretty efficient; however, once again, not as efficient as the CX-5. The back seat for three adults is really cramped and unrealistic for anything other than a quick drive.

I contacted via the internet a Ford dealer in Asheville I had purchased from previously . Filled out info, asked for a quote on a couple of vehicles. Meanwhile I had contacted Four Seasons the same way - smaller dealership, wasn't expecting much, but they had gotten back to me in an hour. Finally got a call from the Asheville dealer with said info three days later. I politely told him I had opted to do business with Four Seasons because they had responded first, and he went ballistic. While I was on the fence about a new versus year old car, the salesman gave me time, no pressure, had me drive half a dozen cars over a two week period. Happy with them, happy with the car. Quick responses to questions and no B. S. Salesman was Mark Traves, good man.

** Sorry, there is no current Yelp link for it. The main site, above, was all I had and it has their physical address too. ** The dealer worked with me on a great price, and they included the tag and title fees with the price already (Which made the fees practically free). When the car had an issue when I went to test drive it, they worked on it to make it right for me (Driver's side seat track issue, and a light bulb issue). They were prompt in answering all of my questions, and they gave me a detailed history of the owner before me and all the work it had done to it.
