I love the interior quality. The leather and trim are not cheap and flimsy. I like that I have the option to use the 3rd row seating if needed. Otherwise, I can lower the seat down and have a lot of cargo space. I am able to fit a full size baby stroller in the back with room to spare. With all of the family trips taken, we have never needed additional space. We are a family of 4 plus one medium to large dog. We all fit comfortably. I love that we can fit a rear facing car seat in the back and still have enough space in the front to sit comfortably. Performance has been outstanding and only general maintenance has been needed in all of the 115,000 miles it has.

The Toyota Highlander has been an outstanding vehicle. It's been a very reliable vehicle, and the maintenance has been relatively inexpensive. It has great room inside, which is also comfortable. It has heating and air vents in the front, middle, and rear areas, which makes the ride comfortable for all riders. We've also hauled lumber and tools by folding down that rear and back seats. For an SUV, the gas mileage has been excellent at 25+ miles to the gallon, and this is not the hybrid version. It's been a very dependable vehicle. We live in North Carolina and have used it for trips to New York, Miami, Dallas, and Madison, WI. We are a digital family, and the 2011 Highlander was ahead of its time. It has charging plugins in the front, backseat, and rear areas, and we've often had them all in use. When we initially purchased the Highlander, we got the 5-year service plan. All routine maintenance was free, and that included oil changes. Eight years later, and we have over 200,000 miles on the vehicle, and we've never needed any major repairs.
