Older beat up car, but has a strong heart on it so far.
Well, I originally bought this car used at a used car dealership. I made the mistake of not inspecting it all over. Turns out it had hidden defects and the dealership had tried to dump a total lemon on me. I had some auto knowledge and was able to help my stepfather repair one of the issues, which included a bad starter and battery. I liked how well it runs with the miles it has on it, but I don't like the slightly bumpy ride it has (has worn out shocks on it currently). For the price, it's very slowly starting to pay for itself back. It's a great project car, which is another thing I like about it. It has parts that are easy to find. With it being a 1995, it's also an OBDI-car and is not required to have a passing check engine light for inspection in my state. Another thing I like about this car is the fact that, with it being a well used car, a lot of the electric options still work on it. It even still has ice cold air conditioning. It might be beat up, but I think it's got a lot of life left into it.

It's a great car, could use a little better gas mileage.
The 2005 Toyota Avalon is a stylish, reliable, and comfortable car. When I bought it used 3 years ago, comfort and reliability were my main concerns and those concerns have been met. In its history, the car has only ever had to have one sensor replace, which I did myself. The interior is comfortable and stylish AND sturdy; even moderately poorly kept with two children, it still looks brand new. It came with a tape deck which seemed ridiculous for 2005, but whatever… Gas mileage could be a little better in the city, but I don't do a lot of driving so it's not so bad. The car is powerful and fun to drive, but has a tricky transmission that can do funny things when driving uphill from a stop or turning on an incline. Still, nothing major. The trunk and interior are spacious, with comfortable seats and plenty of leg room. My model has all the bells and whistles such as heated seats and mirrors. My wife once broke a mirror off the side and it was terribly expensive to replace due to being heated and having turn signals inside it, but that's her fault - not the car's.

Knew people there and they were better than most car dealers around the town that I live in.
