2006 Honda Civic - The little car I never knew I'd love

I actually acquired this car from my mother. I immediately liked its compact size and feel of solidity. It really hugs the road and corners well, which I did not expect from such a small vehicle. It feels very safe in that aspect. I also liked that it is a Honda, a brand I have great respect for. The car rides smooth, is quiet, and performs well in rough weather. It does well in snow because the base is wide and it sits fairly low to the ground. I have never had any mechanical issues with this car and I have driven about 50K miles in the seven years I have owned it.
Story
I live in a town which has a great downtown, but limited parking. some friends and I were going out to eat one night and watched as this huge SUV struggled to get into a tiny parking spot fairly near the restaurant we were going to. Finally, it gave up. As we were right behind it, I was able to pull right in and with minor maneuvering, claimed the prize spot thanks to the small footprint of th... (more)
Pros
It gets fairly good gas mileage, at 30 in city and around 35 highway. Also, the backseats lay down creating a pass through to the trunk. This is great for lumber, multiple sacks of mulch, and oversized boxes. I like the smooth ride, comfortable bucket seats, and great sound system. The interior looks almost brand new and the car is 10 years old. One small item I find particularly handy is the oil light indicator which tells you what percent effectiveness your oil is at so you know when to change it.
Cons
I have found very few cons with this car. One thing that I already mentioned is it sitting low to the ground. This is good for stability in snow but can create some scraping when going over bumps and over rough terrain. It also makes it difficult to get in and out of on occasion. I am 5'11", so I have to bend and use my knees a lot. Also, a minor complaint is changing the windshield wiper blades which are currently only available at the dealer. This car was also part of a safety recall having to do with passenger side airbags, but the company was prompt and efficient in repairing, despite ... (more)

It's been a great and reliable car. It's not flashy, but it gets me to where I need to go, and since I've never really cared about stuff like that, it's perfect for me.
Story
It has some stickers on it that I don't remember how they got there, so I definitely get weird looks sometimes when people see them.
Pros
It's reliable and very low maintenance. I don't remember the last time I had to take it to the mechanic despite its old age. All I do is basic maintenance such as changing the oil and the transmission fluid. The interior has held up very well through the years. It's very fuel efficient (great when fuel was ridiculously expensive), and its compactness makes it handle very well, though I wouldn't call it anywhere near sporty.
Cons
It went through a major recall concerning the engine, which was a little worrying, but I guess it's better than the manufacturer being aware of the problem and issuing no recall. A while back I had some problems with the steering being misaligned, but I think I may have hit something, so it was probably my fault.

This dealership is phenomenal. After searching for a good used car under our pre-approved price, we made our way to Auto Wholesale. This place came highly recommended. Other dealerships tried to get us to use their financing so we could get a higher pre-qualified rate, but we were fine spending what our credit union had approved us for, and didn't need a car that was too expensive. Auto Wholesale not only listened to how much we were interested in spending, they also found us cars $1000-$2000 less than what we said we could afford. We test drove 2 cars without a dealer in the car with us. They allowed my husband and I to talk to each other and didn't persuade us to do a thing. We chose what we wanted and got the car with no problems and no hassle. We had even been there once before and... (more)
