My 2016 Hyundai Accent is a cute little car that gets fantastic gas mileage. It has a 12.9 gallon tank, and I rarely put more than $20 in gas in her. I drive the six-speed manual transmission, and shifting feels smooth and responsive. It is a small car and super easy to park. The interior is cute, and I like that it has a USB charging port and an audio connection built in. It also has satellite radio capabilities, but I chose not to pay for this service. I also love the deal I got with payments right around $200 a month. The car is a great value for the money.

My last car was a salvage that was an unreliable road hazard. I knew I wanted my next car to be reliable AND affordable. After a bunch of research I found my grey hatchback Hyundai Accent. The mpg is nothing to write home about, between 28 and 37 mpg depending on where I'm driving, but it has needed only minimal upkeep in the almost two years/45K miles I have driven it so far. The tires are actually affordable! I needed some new tires desperately on a Saturday and where I live Walmart was the only option, and they had them in stock for $50 bucks a pop! Which is great considering the last subcompact I had needed special ordered $200 dollar tires. For the vehicle's size I have rarely been lacking for space. I'm so glad I found one of the few cars that doesn't seem to have a ton of issues or recalls and doesn't cost an arm and a leg! Mine was $14k brand new and takes everything I throw at it (including tons of driving on dirt roads and interstates).
