My Subaru Forester is such a great car. As a person who enjoys outdoor activities (hiking, canoeing, etc.) It's a great choice. While the cargo space is not huge, it is more than roomy enough to hold backpacks, coolers, or my dog. It's also great for hauling groceries. The mat makes it easy to clean if the adventures get a little messy. The AWD is perfectly capable of handling what little off road driving I do. The suspension also allows for a smooth ride. The gas mileage is respectable, especially on the highway. I have averaged as high as 31 mpg on the highway. I've had no mechanical problems so far and maintenance costs are reasonable.

The car is incredibly safe, and I feel comfortable with my family in the vehicle. I think it is roomy enough for two car seats, and I enjoy the smooth ride.
