I've owned many cars in my life, and I have typically kept my cars for about 1-2 years before selling them and buying a new car. However, I have had my Honda Pilot for 4 years and plan on keeping it for many more years to come. I feel very safe in my Pilot, and feel that my children are safe riding in it as well. It is very roomy inside and is perfect for taking family vacations with. It can fit all of our luggage without a problem. It rides beautifully and has never given me any type of major mechanical problems. I've put close to 90,000 miles on it and it still runs like it's new. Even if I had to sell this Pilot for some reason, I would buy another Pilot in a heartbeat. I do not like to drive in bad weather, but I love how my Pilot handles snow and rain. My SUV very rarely slides in... (more)
Story
We took a family vacation for Thanksgiving to a cabin about 2 hours from our home, and we took our dog with us. Since there was a lot of room for our two kids and dog, it was a comfortable ride and the kids enjoyed having our dog sit with them in the back seat.
Pros
My top favorite aspects of my Honda Pilot are the safety features, the look of the SUV, and the extraordinary amount of space in the interior. I love that it has two rows of seats in the back, especially when my kids want to go somewhere with their friends. When we are not using the last row of seats, it folds in and gives us an extra large trunk area.
Cons
There are not many cons about this car. The only thing I can think of is the price. It's a pricey vehicle. However, compared to other SUVs in its class, the Pilot is not that bad.

2011 Honda Pilot - Overall great car. Lots of space with a rugged, sporty look.

Overall, the 2011 Honda Pilot is a great car. I own the touring version which is the highest level model. We were looking for an alternative to a minivan that could accommodate a family but also provide a more sporty look. The Pilot accomplished all of this. It has enough space to fit seven while also being quite "boxy" giving you the sporty SUV look. The vehicle has had very few problems and is currently at about 150K miles. There are a few things that I disliked—for one, while it does fit seven, the back row is quite tight and really can only fit children for long road trips or else you will run into some serious uncomfortable leg room issues. Another issue is that it is not as friendly as one would expect on gas mileage. I was hoping for a little more than ten miles per gallon.
Story
We drove this vehicle down the East Coast while visiting universities, through pouring rain, glorious sunshine, you name it. It held up great. There was one night where the entire family took a nap in the car, and the space allowed us to be quite comfortable. The kids were able to watch movies on the built-in screen in the back row (we have the touring model, which comes with this). We will ne... (more)
Pros
The pros are that the car provides a great look while also being practical (holds seven people. No problem for fishing trips, etc.). We've used the car to tow a small trailer, and there hasn't been any problems either. In addition, the interior is nice and spacious (sans the back row). The back window is able to open which allows easy access to things like skis, fishing rods, etc.
Cons
The mileage of the car could've been a little better, considering this isn't a huge SUV (akin to something like the Toyota Sequoia, Nissan Armada, etc.). Furthermore, while the car does technically fit seven people, the last row has very little leg room and can only realistically hold children for long trips. A minivan would be more practical if you wanted to go on a long road trip with seven adults.

I purchased a vehicle from Sloan and I must say the experience was quite impressive. Alex the sales manager gave me a great price on my new vehicle and a reasonable offer on my trade in. They were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I would tell my friends and family if anyone needs a new vehicle to shop at slow because they're the best!
