2007 Honda Pilot - Love!

I love that this is an SUV on a truck frame. Most SUVs are on a car frame. That gives me peace of mind that I purchased a quality vehicle capable of handling what I need it to. It fits my entire family, including three car seats in a row. It is a great family car that suits our needs without having to resort to a van. The gas mileage is about what you would expect for a vehicle of this size.
Story
We are able to play in the snow without large fear of getting stuck. We're able to easily haul our tent trailer to enjoy our favorite summer activity - camping!
Pros
I love having the option of the 3rd row to fit more passengers. The cargo room while the 3rd row is folded down is wonderful. It's also great that the 2nd row will also fold down for even more cargo room for hauling things. It drives smoothly. 4WD has come in handy at times. It's great having the separate temperature control for the back seats. It easily hauls our tent trailer and is rated to haul even more than that!
Cons
The price is definitely a hard pill to swallow. Despite popular belief, it has not maintained its value. Within less than 5 years the value has dropped to less than half of what we paid. We were told otherwise upon purchasing it. Leg room in the 3rd row is less than desirable. Only children or those with short legs can sit comfortably for a very long period. The upholstery is a nightmare to keep clean. Even water spills leave awful stains. You can only use Honda fluids which become expensive.

I love my Honda Pilot. It is a very attractive looking car. My Pilot is black and looks very sharp. The inside is very roomy. When we go on vacation there is plenty of room for the three of us. We do not have to pack lite at all. We can bring everything we need. On the highway we usually get around 20 mpg which I think is great for such a roomy and powerful vehicle.
Story
My family has had many fun outings in our Pilot. We love packing a picnic and taking it to our favorite park or lake.
Pros
I think the biggest pro I mentioned earlier and that is the roomy inside. The mpg is good for the size and type of vehicle. I usually get 15 mpg in town and 20 mpg on the highway. The outside of the vehicle is a sleek design. The car doesn't look like an old person family car. My Pilot came with a built in GPS which I love. It has a 6 cd changer and about everything I could possible want on the inside. Overall it is a great vehicle.
Cons
It is hard for me to come up with cons. I guess it would be nice if the mpg was a little better, but it is definitely not bad. I would like for the windows in the back to be tinted darker so the sun would stay out of my sons eyes. I wish my wife and I could have different temp settings.

The Honda Pilot LX is a great vehicle. It has a nice trim and a great, comfy interior. The controls are a tad confusing to get used to, but once you do get used to it it's very simple to control heat, A/C, and also the radio. I like the Bluetooth capability and the ability to take phone calls hands free with a touch of the button. The audio is smooth both for the input and output. The car is also very roomy for my family of six and contains a lot of cargo space - enough for those Costco supply trips we take every month. It drives very smooth on the road and you hardly notice any sound in the cabin even when accelerating up hills. It shifts smoothly and idles smoothly as well. The gas mileage is a tad low but is expected for crossover SUVs like the Honda Pilot.
Story
Driving it home was probably the most memorable story we had. We got denied a nice Toyota Highlander from another dealership so we felt bummed out. However when we got the Honda Pilot we felt invigorated and happy. Our last car was beginning to break down so getting a nice reliable car like a Honda was a huge positive for us.
Pros
The Bluetooth audio function, the sound system, the seats, the cargo space, the smooth driving and how clean the interior stays even after multiple kids getting in and out of the car.
Cons
The only thing I wish was that the gas mileage was a little better - we run about 20mph which is the same for the 4X4 Silverado truck I also own.
