Vehicles to fit families with kids are hard to come by. Demand is high, and supply is short. We actually searched for our car for four months. This '06 Honda Pilot Touring is the best car we have every owned! It comfortably seats eight people. Some eight seaters are a joke! This one can also be configured in many different ways for extra leg room for the passengers. Another nice feature is that all of the seats recline in some way. There is even some trunk room when you are using the third row. When the third row is down, there is plenty of storage space. I have only three complaints about the car. Number one is that there is no automatic open for the back hatch. You have to manually open it. Two is that the third row doesn't adjust temps well. The A/C and heat don't make it back ther... (more)
Story
I get compliments on my vehicle all the time! No one can believe how old it is or how high the mileage is. It's a bonus that it's gold because it's the team color for our Pittsburgh sports teams and our local high school team!
Pros
Comfortable seating for 8! All of the upgrades are fantastic (sunroof, leather, CD, trip computer etc.). Drives incredibly smooth and yet powerful. Large gas tank capacity. Great to travel in. A/C blows cold in seconds. Very reliable. Looks fantastic for being over ten years old. Still looks new!
Cons
No auto open for the rear hatch. Third row temp is difficult to control. Trip computer doesn't tell you how many miles to empty.

I love my Honda Pilot Touring edition. It handles smoothly with no complaints. The features that come with the Touring edition are also fantastic. They are great for car camping and long road trips. I have already, in the first five years, driven my Pilot across country and back at least eight times. Incredibly comfortable and usually reliable.
Story
One time while moving to college I had a U-Haul Trailer that accidentally uncoupled from the hitch. Luckily the safety chain stayed attached and my Pilot was good enough to keep everything under control until I could pull over and fix the problem with the trailer.
Pros
I love all of the various features including the heated seats, the hands-free calling, the DVD player and wireless headphones, and especially how many A/C outlets there are - even a standard 12V plug like at home! I love how my Pilot handles in the snow and rain, and my favorite thing is just how comfortable it is. The leather seats and BOSE sound system are the icing on top!
Cons
My battery has died a few times on me. This has happened with multiple batteries, so I wonder if there is an issue with the car itself or I just keep getting unlucky. Other than that, the car does not have the greatest pickup if you are a fan of horsepower.
