The 2015 Pilot I own comes equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine that delivers somewhere around 270 horsepower. In terms of power delivery, it never fails to meet expectations or to go beyond what is usually required. Sure, it is not a vehicle that feels or sounds like one with a powerful engine, yet its apparent quietness can surprise you, for it has plenty of pull. Technology-wise, the LX version we have (the base trim, although in the 4WD version), comes with a decent amount of standard features, including a rearview camera, a third-row seat, and an acceptable infotainment system. And even if it lacks any of the more advanced safety features Honda has rolled out in recent years, the braking ability of the car feels enough and has performed well in the snow for us. Overall, I would say the ... (more)
Story
There are so many like ours (same color, same trim) that we have occasionally tried to open another one thinking it is ours -- their great number speaks to how much people appreciate their qualities.
Pros
Its overall reliability and dependability. We have never had any major issue. It is very spacious, particularly in the second (middle) row and in the cargo area when the third row seats are down. Power delivery is good for its class. Third-row seating is included and can easily be folded down or up.
Cons
The wheels on the base trim look terrible and cheap. Fuel consumption, even if not terrible for the segment, has been well below EPA estimates for us. Many of Honda's available safety features are not included. Transmission only has five speeds and has not shifter.

The Honda Pilot LX is a great vehicle. It has a nice trim and a great, comfy interior. The controls are a tad confusing to get used to, but once you do get used to it it's very simple to control heat, A/C, and also the radio. I like the Bluetooth capability and the ability to take phone calls hands free with a touch of the button. The audio is smooth both for the input and output. The car is also very roomy for my family of six and contains a lot of cargo space - enough for those Costco supply trips we take every month. It drives very smooth on the road and you hardly notice any sound in the cabin even when accelerating up hills. It shifts smoothly and idles smoothly as well. The gas mileage is a tad low but is expected for crossover SUVs like the Honda Pilot.
Story
Driving it home was probably the most memorable story we had. We got denied a nice Toyota Highlander from another dealership so we felt bummed out. However when we got the Honda Pilot we felt invigorated and happy. Our last car was beginning to break down so getting a nice reliable car like a Honda was a huge positive for us.
Pros
The Bluetooth audio function, the sound system, the seats, the cargo space, the smooth driving and how clean the interior stays even after multiple kids getting in and out of the car.
Cons
The only thing I wish was that the gas mileage was a little better - we run about 20mph which is the same for the 4X4 Silverado truck I also own.
