I have had my Honda Civic EX-L now for 4 years and I love it!! The car gets incredible gas mileage and rides so smoothly. When I purchased it had around 50,000 miles on it and currently has a little over 102,000. It still rides just as good as the day I bought it. Apart from replacing the tires and regular service appointments / oil changes, there have been no major repairs needed on the vehicle. My only complaint is the anti-lock braking system. Sometimes, if I brake too fast, it sounds like a gear gets locked and the car won't brake. I have to lightly tap the brakes a couple consecutive times to finally bring the car to stop and prevent skidding into the vehicle in front of me. Just recently the rear end of my car began making a little chugging "clicking" sound whenever I would brin... (more)
Story
My best memory in this vehicle was a road trip to Tennessee I took with my first son prior to his first birthday. It was an 8 hour drive there and an 8 hour drive back. The car never had any issues and I only had to fill up on gas 3 times which was great!! The a/c worked wonderfully considering it was during the summer months and there was plenty of room for just the 2 of us. The navigation sy... (more)
Pros
The car has been wonderful in terms of value, comfort and reliability. The speedometer, USB ports, steering wheel controls, and overall comfort inside the vehicle make for a smooth ride. The car is great for a smaller family or one without small children and is excellent for road trips as the gas mileage is incomparable to other vehicles! As previously stated, the car has not given me any major mechanical issues thus far. The engine rides like a dream whether on the freeway or rural roads. It gives the car such a smooth enjoyable ride. The steering is very easy and smooth in the car as wel... (more)
Cons
One of the worst things about the vehicle is the lack of depth in the backseat. Since purchasing the vehicle a few years back, I have had 2 children, one 2 year old and a newborn. The backseat is in no way deep enough for either of my children's carseats or feet. There is absolutely no compromise for the front or the back! Additionally, the trunk is not big enough either. I constantly find myself out of places for my things. The anti lock braking system is far less than perfect as well. It makes strange noises from time to time and concern me overall with the vehicles durability. The inter... (more)

The vehicle is amazingly reliable and convenient. I have 177,000 miles right now, and it has yet to break down. I have owned this car for 6 years, and since I have kept it up to date with oil changes and services, I have had no major problems. The exterior is a little messed up, because I have been hit and run in a parking lot. This vehicle has gotten me to and from many places, and I wouldn't trade its reliability for anything. I am expecting to have this car until it reaches about 300,000 miles which I heard is the average for this make and model. I have slight oil leaks, nothing major, I just need to add some oil in between my oil changes. The car runs smoothly, and has a pretty quiet engine as well. I honestly haven't heard of the same make and model where someone has had a negativ... (more)
Story
I always take my car down to the each to listen to music and see the water.
Pros
My favorite features include the fact that it is a manual transmission. The car gets great gas mileage, so I don't have to worry as much as normal about paying for gas or filling up my tank that often. The air conditioning has never had a service, and it still is running great and keeps me cold on hot days. The interior has not fallen apart at all, it still looks new and well taken care of. The car itself has a great track record, and it is easy to make modifications to it as well if that is your sort of thing. Mine is all original, and the engine is powerful enough to get me to where I ne... (more)
Cons
There are not as many negatives about this car as positives. The exterior of the car could have room for improvement, because it scratches very easily, although I feel that is the same for most cars because of the way they are made. I definitely think if you are into luxury vehicles, stay away from this car, because it is not made for comfort. The car is a little stiff inside, and if you are tall, watch out, because there is absolutely no leg room. I have the sedan version, which gives a little more room for legs and such, if you have the coupe though, you will have no space. Also, the ori... (more)

I love this car. It has over 200,000 miles on it and is still going strong! It gets great gas mileage. It is all-wheel drive, so great in the winter. Very few things have gone wrong with the car since I got it approximately 6 years ago.
Story
My most memorable story about my car is that is used to be my dad's. When he passed away, my mom gave the car to me. So the car will always have special meaning to me.
Pros
The car gets great gas mileage. The car is all-wheel drive, so great in the winter. It handles well around curves, as it is low to the ground. It is a hatchback, so I don't have to deal with a trunk, and can fit more in the car when traveling. It has dual windshield wipers, for the front windshield and the back window. It has a manual transmission, which some may view as a con, but I would much rather drive a stick shift. There is plenty of space for five people to sit comfortably.
Cons
The car is a basic edition, so does not have automatic anything. I roll down the windows manually. It does not have cruise control. There is an after-market cruise control in there, but it does not work well. It does not have a console in between the two front seats, and the emergency break is there, so it is hard to fit an open beverage there without it spilling. It uses Freon for the air conditioning, so I can not just go get the Freon refilled now, as that is not legal. I would have to spend at least a few hundred dollars to get it updated to the newer kind of coolant. It doesn't have a... (more)
