2000 Honda Civic - Great Reliable Vehicle
The vehicle is amazingly reliable and convenient. I have 177,000 miles right now, and it has yet to break down. I have owned this car for 6 years, and since I have kept it up to date with oil changes and services, I have had no major problems. The exterior is a little messed up, because I have been hit and run in a parking lot. This vehicle has gotten me to and from many places, and I wouldn't trade its reliability for anything. I am expecting to have this car until it reaches about 300,000 miles which I heard is the average for this make and model. I have slight oil leaks, nothing major, I just need to add some oil in between my oil changes. The car runs smoothly, and has a pretty quiet engine as well. I honestly haven't heard of the same make and model where someone has had a negative experience. I have performed routine maintenance, and the gas mileage is pretty good. I get about 30 miles to the gallon on average, which is great for the distances I have to drive. The price is fair for the car as well, and the security system is great, and the air conditioning still works which is a plus.
I always take my car down to the each to listen to music and see the water.

My favorite features include the fact that it is a manual transmission. The car gets great gas mileage, so I don't have to worry as much as normal about paying for gas or filling up my tank that often. The air conditioning has never had a service, and it still is running great and keeps me cold on hot days. The interior has not fallen apart at all, it still looks new and well taken care of. The car itself has a great track record, and it is easy to make modifications to it as well if that is your sort of thing. Mine is all original, and the engine is powerful enough to get me to where I need to go. I have put about 90,000 miles on it without a single problem. Everything is still working great and is nice and clean. The transmission runs smoothly, as well as the engine and the tire tread is pretty good, because I replace the tires and put air in them as regularly as they need to. This is a great, small car that only needs minimal upkeep for it to stay in great shape, and the parts for replacement are not rare and not expensive. There is also a lot of trunk space.
There are not as many negatives about this car as positives. The exterior of the car could have room for improvement, because it scratches very easily, although I feel that is the same for most cars because of the way they are made. I definitely think if you are into luxury vehicles, stay away from this car, because it is not made for comfort. The car is a little stiff inside, and if you are tall, watch out, because there is absolutely no leg room. I have the sedan version, which gives a little more room for legs and such, if you have the coupe though, you will have no space. Also, the ori... (more)

Also, the original deck stereo and stereo system is weak, so you will definitely need to replace those if you want a decent sounding sound system in your car, which is important to some people. One of the major deters for this car though is actually that it is one of the most highly sought after cars for theft. People love to steal these cars, and they are one of the easiest cars to break into, so you will provably need an extra security system for the car.
2014 Honda Civic - Reliable and fun
I got this car after ending a lease on a 2012 Honda Civic. I traded that car in for the 2014 model in spring of 2014. I had substantial upgrades, especially to the car technology. With the new car I get a lane change camera and a backup camera in addition to a large touchscreen that connects to Bluetooth. I feel as if this car is also sportier - the rims look nice and expensive. I get good mileage and really have no complaints overall. In terms of mileage and how the engine runs, it's comparable to the 2012 model. However I do think the interior and all of the technology greatly add to the cars appeal. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone who wants something both reliable and affordable.

This car has got me through summer storms and winter ice. One particular time I made it through a particular harrowing snowy day with lots of ice that left my boyfriend in his Toyota Camry stranded.

Again, the technology is easily my favorite part about this car. No you don't need a backup camera or Lane change camera but it's a great additional feature. It makes parallel Parking as well as backing up into any parking space a breeze. I would think all vehicles in the future would NEED these because they're just that useful. I also get pretty good mileage. I use my car strictly for highway use (driving on turnpike, etc) and I get about 32 miles to the gallon when driving on the highway. It's slightly less when driving in the city with stop lights and whatnot, but still can't complain. ... (more)

Aside from all of this, I think the car looks visually appealing. The rims are a nice touch and remind me of something much more expensive. The moonroof also adds to it. It looks sporty and somewhat Luxurious. I really like it when compared to other models, even the EX version of the car. Definitely just attractive.
I really don't have too many negatives about this car. Although it is still new, I haven't had any real issues. Lately my low tire pressure light has been worrying me - as it seems to come on very often despite me monitoring pressure like a hawk - so that is a pain. However that is likely due to a tire issue specifically and not the car itself. I do find the pressure light to be a little excessive and to be somewhat of a pain too. It's definitely nice to know when there is a tire issue but I feel as if this goes on even when there is no significant drop in pressure. That's at least what I ... (more)

However it could be due to tire pressure as well so again... I can't fault the car too much for this. I also cannot push the side mirror in on the passenger side because it had the camera for the lane change. This can be a bit of a struggle when I want to push it in, but ultimately isn't a huge issue because lots of models don't allow for this anyhow. It's just a minor annoyance to be honest.
1990 Honda Civic - A definite buy!

Forty miles to the gallon! In addition, the car is sturdy. The ride is smooth. The front seats offer ample seating. The car has really good trim that fits well. The manual transmission is very responsive too!

There is no power steering. The back seat offers little leg room so kids only on long distance trips! The base model has a 4 speed manual transmission that offers a weird third gear that is high geared. Additionally, the hatchback gives little clearance.
