This car has done its job well with no unforeseen mechanical surprises. For its age, I can't complain. It has well over 150k miles and its only major replacement parts have been a clutch and radiator. Most of its miles are freeway and it gets decent gas mileage for its age at 27mpg hwy or so. The biggest con I have is a minor one with deteriorating door handle covers that are very sharp edges on something grabbed every time the car is used. I'm surprised at the maintenance costs being so low for its lifespan and the rear suspension is still in tact after all the overloaded situations I've put this car though. With three kids and trunk full of bags driven hours on the freeway so many times I feel like the ride of the car would have gotten worse by now, but it hasn't. The hydraulic clut... (more)
Story
Picking up large amount of office boxes and cramming tons of them in the entire car to help a friend move
Pros
Reliable Inexpensive to fix popular car so lots of youtube videos to fix things without a mechanic decent mpg power windows ample trunk space sunroof still works
Cons
Cheap door handles on the inside bad exterior paint large clutch with tight release no roof rack bad stock radio and speakers

Overall this is a good car. Normally Honda cars will last a long time, with low maintenance costs. This is not the case for the 2005 year. This care broke down on me on three different times, and I took good care of the vehicle, changing oil when necessary, and keeping all maintenance appointments.
Story
This first time I drove it was the first time I had driven a small care, and I loved the responsiveness and the speed at which is was able to dart into and out of traffic.
Pros
It is a highly fuel efficient, I rarely had to fill up the tank more than every week and half with daily use. It was also quiet, and fairly easy to maintain for the most part. It was quick, and highly responsive. I loved driving the car. The electronics within the car were easy to understand and use and I never had any trouble.
Cons
The largest problem I had with the car was the frequency at which is broke down. Between the radiator, the transmission, and the engine itself, the care broke down three separate times in the three years I drove it. This often left me stranded on a street or highway needing assistance. This rarely happened with any warning at all. Be cautious when purchasing this car and be weary that it may have many issues.
