The 2009 Honda Civic is an excellent car. It's highly reliable and has never broken down or had trouble starting. Despite having 30,000 miles on it when I bought it 3 years ago, the car still drives like new. With over 80,000 miles on it today, it's great for a quick drive to the grocery store, a long commute, or an even longer road trip with friends. It's a great model for new or inexperienced drivers. I was only 19 when I purchased it, and I've felt very comfortable and confident driving it. The car is small, but safe; it held up very well after being hit and run by a mid-sized truck and only required minor repairs. Gas is affordable and the vehicle is reasonably fuel-efficient. I'd definitely recommend this car to a friend -- in fact, my mother and brother drive Civics, too.
Story
I took it on a road trip to Washington, DC.
Pros
Reliable, smooth, affordable, durable, easy to handle, safe, still drives like new after 80,000 miles, digital speedometer makes it easy to monitor your speed
Cons
Small size makes it easier to incur damage in even minor accidents with larger vehicles, though it is still a very safe vehicle

I have owned this vehicle for approximately six years. I have had no mechanical issues and the only maintenance expenses have been related to battery, wipers, tires, headlights, oil, and filters. State inspection and emissions testing have passed with perfection. The vehicle averages 30 mpg. For a front-wheel drive vehicle, it drives surprisingly well in the snow.
Story
Climbs the hill of western Pennsylvania with no issues.
Pros
The Honda Civic has proven itself as a reliable, low maintenance vehicle. The car is fun to drive. Pickup and handling are exceptional. Gas mileage is exceptional! I am 6' 2" and comfortably fit in the driver's seat.
Cons
I have replaced the headlights twice in five years. The headlights are difficult to replace (unless you have very small hands.) Paint on rear of roof is very faded. Radio light flickers. As a parent, I wish I would have purchased the sedan model. It is difficult to "buckle" a child in the back seat. The windshield seems take an exceptional amount of time to defrost in the winter. Cramped backseat.
