Overall the car is a great consumer vehicle with slightly above standard fuel economy. I enjoy it overall. I would consider other vehicles first before purchasing this one.
Story
Nothing in specific. Just driving around my SO(significant other) to various places for dates.
Pros
The pros of this vehicle is that there is weight behind the brand, Honda. Then again there are some negative aspects when it comes to that specific brand as well and those will be highlighted in the cons section. I like that although the trim is lx and considered standard by most people, it has a sporty silhouette to it. The engine is a 1.8 And there are of course obvious good fuel economy bonuses to that. On average, I get about 30 to 32 mpg with a mix of highway and city driving.
Cons
The negative aspects of this car is that there is a flaw with the transmission in any and all Honda cars. It seems to be that Honda transmissions are much more delicate than most manufacturers and require specific transmission fluid made by Honda. Not only does this create a semi-monopoly on it, the transmission will start having issues if not using the proper branded fluid. Another con I can see with this vehicle is that the side mirrors are a bit too small. They do not seem to be wide enough to encompass blind spots in view. Some drivers will also agree that while a 1.8 Engine is great o... (more)

The Honda Civic is a great small vehicle in an affordable price range. It is wonderful on gas mileage which makes it economical and environmentally friendly without having the additional expenses of a hybrid vehicle. It has gas saving features like the econ light which make it even more economically friendly to drive. It is easy to navigate and the small size makes it easy to park and whip in and out of small spaces. I have the two door option which is very cute and has a sporty look to it. The trunk size is large enough inside but the opening can be a bit small. Also, with two doors, it does require some crawling back into the backseat which can be a hassle but that’s the price to pay for a cute design I suppose! I really like the interior look especially at the dashboard. The lightin... (more)
