I own a 2016, Honda Civic, which has approximately 7100 miles on it. In the past I have driven a Prius V, 2010 Ford Mustang, and now a 2016 Honda Civic, overall I would rate the civic the highest, due to the fact it has had the least amount of problems in my experience. It has great performance, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great starter vehicle or for parents looking for a durable, safe vehicle for their teens. I the vehicle is compact and has lots of storage which is a benefit in my book. The vehicle may have poor gas millage but that is counteracted when looking at how reliable and trustworthy the vehicle itself is. It's comparative quality towards other vehicles I have encountered is outstanding, it is by far the best in my opinion. I am also pleased with its perfor... (more)
Story
The most memorable story associated with my vehicle is when me and my mom took a road trip up to Florida from Texas, right before I moved there for college. I guess that is the most memorable since that was when I left home permanently, the drastic change is what made the journey memorable. It was the last family moment we had in over a year. It is a memory I will never forget, my mom was also... (more)
Pros
The pros for this vehicle do out weight the cons, greatly. The main benefit towards owning this vehicle is that it has a five star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, for injury protection. So this is a great vehicle for those that care more about safety, than any other feature. The car is also durable and reliable, in the last few years, I have only had to go in to change the oil or do an RBM for my tires, there has been no wear and tear issues with this vehicle, it is built to last. With my previous vehicles, the Prius V at least once every 2-3 months, the und... (more)
Cons
The tops negative factors towards this vehicle would be gas millage, its turn signals, and the lag when you press the gas peddle. For work and school, I generally commute about 100-150 miles, weekly, This total commute is equivalent to two tanks of gas or 11-15 mpg. So the vehicle goes through gas continuously and is not recommended for anyone on a budget, and their econ mode to save gas actually consumes more gas. I think eventually they will have to revise the function and figure out why is burns through so much fossil fuels, in order to improve the quality of their vehicle. The second m... (more)

This car has been incredible. I can hardly believe I only pay $169 per month for it. The acceleration is seamless. I look down at the speedometer and have to force myself to slow down because 75 feels like 40. The car is very spacious and roomy. I was told to get an Accord so I didn't feel like I was driving a clown car. The Civic is nowhere near a clown car. I could easily fit four in the backseat even though it is built for three with three seat belts. The engine is quiet, but very powerful. I can accelerate from 30 to 60 and hardly hear or feel a thing. The car is very modern, and for no extra cost. Bluetooth, rear view camera, and all season tires all come standard - at least I was not charged extra.
Story
Taking it on the highway and being able to go fast with the radio turned up and not hearing the roar of the engine. It was like being in a noise controlled device with fast speeds and no roaring sounds. The only vehicle I've been in that's any quieter is a Tesla.
Pros
The car, for what I pay, does not feel cheap or like corners were cut in making it. The car is very sturdy. It handles the bumps and pot holes seamlessly. The gas mileage is excellent. I don't have a very long commute, but it is still nice only needing gasoline once every two weeks. $20 fills up the whole roughly 12-13 gallon tank, and my friends and co-workers with SUVs are always envious. The car is an excellent size. I can fit into smaller spaces, but I also don't feel like it's lacking in space. The back seat leaves ample legroom and easily fits three people. The trunk has held six sui... (more)
Cons
There are very few things I can think of that I see as cons. As far as improvements to the vehicle, I would say the car could be built in such a way that it's easier to see cars in other lanes in the mirrors. Even when I turn my head, I find the view very obstructed. I have to turn my whole body several times to ensure there are not other cars, particularly on the left side. The air and heat could be more effective. I have found I've needed to leave the heat on for sometimes 20 minutes just to get warm enough to stop seeing my breath. Other co-workers have not stated it takes that long in ... (more)
