I've owned my Honda Pilot for a little over two years now. I was very picky when I was looking for this vehicle, as we are a family of five and safety and comfort are huge factors us. We spend a lot of time in the car going from one activity to the next, so it's a priority that we are in a vehicle that holds up and doesn't give us trouble.
Story
We live in Colorado, known for our snowy winters but plenty of sunny days too. One Thanksgiving, the roads were very icy. We decided to head up the mountains to my aunt's house anyway, as most of our family was up there already. Pros
The Pilot has made my life easier as a mom. It's fairly easy to get the kids and all their gear in and out (fitting three car seats in one row with a double stroller and two bikes in the back). Even with all of us packed in the car, it still feels spacious and comfortable. The kids can be dirty and rough at times, and it has held up to their wear and tear! I love that is AWD all the time too. In CO, we get a few good snow storms a year, and we don't let the messy roads get in our way when we want to get somewhere. Cons
With all seven passenger seats occupied, there isn't much space left in the back to carry luggage/strollers/other cargo. Leather interior on center console shows wear, more than I expected.

This is not our first Honda, but it is our first Pilot. Like all Honda’s, the Pilot has been incredibly reliable. We bought the car new in 2010 and have never had a problem with it. We simply upkeep the regular scheduled maintenance and we feel confident about driving this baby across town or across the country. The leather interior has held up well and worn in nicely. We do take good care of our vehicles, but also use them to their fullest potential. That said, the interior still looks great for four years of everyday use plus road trips. We have taken a number of road trips with the family and the Pilot has plenty of room for all our people, all their gear, and to make for a very comfortable journey. At least once a year we travel 15 hours across the country to see my parents. This trip has become so much more fun since we got the Pilot. The ride is so comfortable that the stress of the trip is no longer a problem. The last time we went, we took side roads and back streets exploring several small towns along the way. Pros
We love the attention to detail in the interior. The sound system is great, with easy access to the controls on the steering wheel. While the Pilot has every kind of plug and audio input jack available, we truly love the USB adapter that allows us to play music directly from a flash drive. No more books of CDs. With a few flash drives we have more music than we could ever listen to on a single trip!
Cons
The only negative we have experienced is a real problem finding after-market windshield wipers that fit correctly. After some failures in that department, we just buy them from the dealership.
