My vehicle is a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe. I bought the vehicle in December of 2014. At first, I loved the vehicle. But over the past year or so, I've had some problems with it. When I first bought it, it had 69,000 miles on it. It ran well, and it was a stick shift, which is a huge plus for me. Every vehicle I've owned has been stick. It had plenty of power for a four-cylinder engine, and it had tons of space on the inside. My wife and I used the vehicle to move out of our townhouse a few months after I bought it. Aside from the large furniture items (bed, couches, etc.), I was able to fold my back seats down and fit everything in the back end. It obviously wasn't all in one trip, but I was still able to fit two dressers in the back as well as other items we were moving. About a year after I had purchased the vehicle, it started to give me problems. I'd have trouble starting it at times, and there didn't seem to be rhyme or reason as to why. My parking brake also started to stick. I had this problem remediated more than once, and it continues to be a problem. The car now lacks power, and the engine doesn't run smoothly anymore. I'm ready to get rid of it before I have any further issues with it.

This is an excellent vehicle especially for a family of four. It gets great gas mileage, and in the ten years that I have owned it, we have never had any major mechanical issues with the car. The only things we have had to do for the car is regular maintenance, oil changes, and new tires occasionally. The car handles really well in city and highway driving. I was and still surprised at how much pickup (acceleration) this car has. The other thing to note is than I have driven this car in one of the most demanding weather environments in the lower 48 states. I live in central upstate NY, which is known for its very demanding winters. We routinely have below 0 degree temperatures in weeks at time in the winter and high 90s and low 100s in the summer. This car takes a beating and keeps on going. If you get the feeling that I love this car, you are correct. When you are standing in your doorway and watching your neighbor get their car jump-started by a tow truck and you use your remote starter and the car starts every time no matter the temperature, it is an incredible feeling to say the least.
