I really enjoy the room available in this vehicle. We can fit two kids in car seats, ourselves and any groceries or larger purchases in very easily. The seats are easy to clean, which is important with kids. The separate climate control areas are wonderful, and the sound system really works great. The car can really accelerate quickly when it needs to using the Sky Active technology, and the cruise control is smooth and conveniently located. The gas mileage is on par with other vehicles of this size and age. It's actually slightly better than the gas mileage we got with the older car we traded in for this. The sunroof is a really nice feature that we use often at our four-year-old son's insistence. Everything works perfectly for us so far, and I can see this vehicle lasting for a very long time and being a good workhorse for our family.

We looked at several cars before deciding on the Mazda CX-5. It was pretty equal to all of the other SUVs in its class until I drove it, and the cost was fantastic. It drives so well. It feels like a luxury vehicle but costs so much less. We have a small child with special needs and a lot of health issues as well as a dog, and we have to travel long distances for many of his specialists appointments. Plus, our family lives 500 miles away, so we needed something that could accommodate our dog and all of her stuff as well as an enormous stroller plus all of our son's medical materials when travelling. The Mazda has adequate cargo space. In fact, it has a larger cargo area than the luxury vehicles we checked out.
