Bought the car without test driving it first. I was terrified that I was not going to like how it looks or how it handles. By my surprise, the car handled perfectly, and I thought it looked super cute. The vehicle was not too manly or too girly. It was the perfect fit, so I could drive it, and my husband wouldn't feel like he was in a girls car when he had it as well. I felt like the car handles great. It does not feel like it was too top heavy when going around a turn too fast. Which is great cause I've been in a Ford before taking a sharp turn, and it felt like it was going to tip right over. Never owned a Hyundai, so I was skeptical, but I am very pleased with all aspects of the vehicle. I would love to buy a newer model of this vehicle or even one of their sedans. I am very pleased... Story
One weekend my friend and I took our kids down to the beach for the weekend. The whole trip down there was so much fun. We took so many pictures and sang along with the radio and blared some CDs. It was a great weekend and exhausting. On the way back, the kids were so tired that they passed out and were able to sleep comfortably in the back seats.
Pros
The vehicle had plenty of room. I have a family of four, and there is plenty of room for everyone and for all of the activities that we do. I have a ten year old who plays sports on the weekends, and we are able to carpool and lug all of the equipment needed. I love the look of the vehicle. Styles keep on changing back and forth from curved to a boxy look, and I feel that the look of the Hyundai fits right in the middle. I also have a two years old who is in a booster seat. I love that there is the a metal bar under the seat to make sure the seat is in the car more secure. It makes me feel... (more)
Cons
I just feel like the quality of what they consider their stock vehicle to be is low and would be more suitable for an older-model vehicle. The quality of the radio and the buttons/knobs could have been better. I feel like the ones that it had come with would of been more suitable for an older-model vehicle, like a 2000. Also, I find a lot of other cars have compartments in the back to hold jacks and other tools in case of an accident, and I feel like this vehicle did not have much in that area. There was the space for the spare tire, but that was it. I understand that it is an SUV, and the... (more)

I am very pleased with the purchase and usage of my Hyundai hatchback SUV. I find it to handle very well in all forms of weather, especially during the winter months when snow tires have been installed. It has given me over 200,000 miles of operability with no trouble whatsoever, save for a few minor issues with the occasional wiring shortage after years of heavy use. The seats are comfortable for distance driving. The controls are very intuitive and responsive to the touch. The gas mileage is very good for a vehicle of its age. I would gladly purchase this model again given the chance, as would I recommend the brand and model very highly to anyone looking for an economical mode of transportation.
Story
My mother and I have had very enjoyable experiences when traveling across state lines to attend medical appointments for ourselves. The ride has almost always been smooth and uneventful, allowing for us to focus on the driving experience and quality bonding time with one another.
Pros
I really appreciate the back seats being able to be lowered. This affords me greater storage capacity for hauling cargo and household pets to and from veterinarian appointments. The rear of the vehicle is easily opened by the hatch, which makes shipping trips a breeze to complete. It's always an enjoyable and smooth ride when operating this vehicle for extended periods of time, especially when traveling great distances for biannual medical appointments. The vehicle also handles well, whether we're utilizing AWD or 4WD capabilities.
Cons
I wish that this model were outfitted with keyless entry. This would prevent users from being locked out of the vehicle in inclement weather. Furthermore, it would have been nice to be afforded the luxury of heated seats. Lastly, having an incorporated MP3 or CD player interface at no extra cost would have been a blessing for long-distance road trips.

They're very straightforward. They never try to "pull one over me" by changing the price at the last minute. What you see is what you get. Shortly after buying, the power steering fluid lines on my car leaked, and even though that isn't technically covered by their 90-day powertrain warranty, they replaced the lines free of charge. They're very willing to make things right to stay in good standing with their customers. The price of the car was considerably higher than its regular worth, but this was also post-Hurricane Sandy, when the cost of used cars in the tri-state area skyrocketed.
