This van was originally my mother's, then my brothers, and then mine. It was spacious, for its size and the year it was made, had decent gas mileage -- over 20 on the highway. We never had many mechanical problems, in fact, no major ones that I can think of. It made over 5 cross-country road trips (from Texas out to the West Coast twice and the East Coast 3 times), in addition to its use for hauling, moving, and transporting kids.
Story
My friends and I took a number of long road trips in this van. We would typically pile 5 people in it, two in the front, two in the middle, and someone could stretch out and sleep in the back. These road trips -- ranging from California, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Utah, to Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New York -- are some of my fondest college memories. Wd would pack... (more)
Pros
It was reliable, pretty (as pretty as a van can be), reasonable gas mileage (for a van). The automatic sliding doors were great, especially when carrying heavy things. You could pull both the middle (captain) seats and the back row of seats out, which gave plenty of room if you wanted to haul things. It had seat warmers for the driver and front passenger, as well as a DVD player for those long road trips.
Cons
When the seat warmer and automatic seat adjustment motor went out on the front passenger seat, it was terribly expensive to fix. Though the DVD player was a great amenity, the quality (being from the early 2000s) was nothing to write home about.

I love my van because it carries six people in it and we all have our own space so nobody is sitting right against each other. I have a VHS player in it and I know that's old but when you have two toddlers it doesn't really matter. It keeps them quiet! When I need space for big items (because I like to yard sale!) I just put the seats down and fit my "junk" in. It's like owning a truck but better!! It rides smooth and has ABS.
Story
I was yard sale-ing when I saw this dresser I wanted for my bedroom. I had the space in my van after I put the seats down so I brought it home and I was a happy mama!
Pros
Rides smooth, has ABS for safety, seats are set apart so there's no shoulder-to-shoulder riding with anybody. Also, the seats can go down if you need to put something big in it. And for those who have toddlers it has the seatbelt latches for the car seats so they're easy to install!
Cons
It has a VHS player in it. It's harder to find VHS tapes these days so often my kids will resort to the tablet or other gadget to keep them busy.
