Great car, even at 13 years old
I bought my 2002 Saturn L300 about a year ago. I did a lot of research about different cars in my price range and wound up specifically looking for a Saturn. Even with 145,000 miles on it the car is exceptional in many ways. I was concerned that I might not get good gas mileage with a 6 cylinder, but I'm actually getting better mileage than I did with my previous 4 cylinder. The handling is great... It takes turns like a smaller car. There's only one small spot of rust on the body, which is a lot better than most cars this age. The only thing I've had to have fixed on it was a rear control arm that broke when I hit a bad pothole last spring. The interior is very nice, with most all of the controls in easy to get to locations. It's very spacious and comfortable, with a large trunk, too. The one thing I would change in the interior is the location of the window controls. They're on the center console, and I would prefer them to be on the doors. The exterior styling is nice, like a lot of the mid size cars from that time, but with a bit of a classy look. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for an inexpensive used car that can take the time to look around and find the best one on the market.

Simple, but reliable.
I bought this car from my father my junior year of college, and I love it. It's a simple car, but a good car. It's small, it rides well, and I haven't had any major break-downs. I've moved to 3 different states with this car, driven in New York City, driven it through some awful winters, and it's always there for me.

Dependable and affordable
While highly affordable as a used car, I find it's pretty nice looking on the inside. I like that it's reasonably nice-looking and you would never guess its low price tag. Saturns are considered pretty reliable as far as I can tell because each time I go to a dealer they ask to buy it off me for the resale value. I have had this car for almost 10 years and the only reason I will replace it is because it's no longer functioning.
