Reliable and comfortable
This car was purchased to replace an older model of the same car because I loved my first SL-1 so much. The car has a roomy interior with ample space in the back seat and trunk. Though it is an older model, the body style and shape have aged well and it doesn't look out of place on the roadways next to newer, more modern cars. The gas mileage was great for a car of its age, easily getting 25mpg. As with most older vehicles, the car required frequent repairs and maintenance. Some of the parts I had replaced were the water pump, serpentine belt, radiator fan, and eventually, the transmission died, which I didn't replace.

The car is old but still looks good.
I love my old car. It's been very reliable. It's 20 years old, has the original engine in it, and original paint too. The seats are bucket which are so comfortable. I take good care of it, so it runs real good. The radio still works, but the clock doesn't anymore. The paint job has a few scratches but still looks good. The passenger door can't be locked from the inside. I have to lock it from the outside. I don't like that. All the windows work well. The upholstery on the seats are in excellent condition for its age.

Once called old reliable, becomes just old.
The 1996 Saturn LS2 was a top contender in its day. 21 years ago that is. I bought incised back about 6 years ago. The original interior was still in great condition. Nice light and dark grey. While it is a sedan, the car just never had the roomy feel for our family. Gas millage was nice though. I think it was somewhere around 30 miles highway, give or take. She has a little over 200k miles. I had to replace the radiator once. My fault of course. The mounting brackets on the engine need to be checked periodically to be sure they are tight. I had one bolt shoot through the engine. My other Saturn had similar issues and it was the same make and model. Coincidence, maybe? Never the less a great car in its day. Too bad that day was so long ago.
