Great at being mediocre...
I bought this car because I needed one immediately due to my last one breaking down. My first reaction to it was I really enjoyed the fact that for a car it was extremely roomy. I felt like my passengers sitting in the back seat weren't going to be forced to sit right on top of each other and actually had room to relax. I however did not like the extremely light color of the interior and that has proven to be on ongoing issue on how to keep it clean. The outside of the car is nice looking, but I personally feel it's a mix of trying to be hip and new, and also still looking like a "Grandma" car. The car has 90,000 miles on it and seems to becoming down with quite a few electrical problems. Firstly, the main screen on the radio will sometimes just randomly go blank, you can still change stations and turn the volume up and down, but you can't actually see what you are doing. Secondly, the blinkers will now not turn off automatically after you turn. You have to manually flip them back off every time. The door locks on the rear two door have a mind of their own and will lock/ unlock only when they feel like it. I do appreciate the fact that everything in the engine is clearly labeled and the things I've so far needed to check/ change has been very easy to get to. The power steering pump has recently started to make some noise, not entirely sure what is going on there yet, but as we all now. nothing in that area is very cheap to fix, so it is definitely nerve wrecking that it's starting to do that. Tail lights on this car are quite easy to change, but anything in the headlight department has proven to be very difficult to get to. You have to remove a section of the grill and front bumper just to change out a bulb. This vehicle does not like the cold either and likes to throw all kinds of light (tire pressure, check engine, etc.) when it gets below freezing even though nothing is actually wrong with any of it. The wipers have proven to be the most expensive fix so far, I've had to replace the motor twice and both arms. Overall, this car is great at getting you from point A to point B, you can always rely on it to fire up and start, but it is definitely nothing to get overly excited about.

A solid midsize car.
The Saturn Acura that I bought was actually pretty solid. I was a little worried about buying a Saturn (I hadn't always heard stellar things about them) but I was very pleased with the vehicle I ended up with. It gets reasonable gas mileage and has some nice optional features that I appreciate. Mostly, I just like the reliability. I've had the car for 3 years now and have had hardly any mechanical problems at all. Any of the minor problems I have had were really easy (and inexpensive) to fix, which was really nice. Overall, it works really well for my purposes.

Great car but may need love.
As with most old cars, the air conditioning may need a boost every once in a while. I just get the refill canisters from the auto store and do the refill myself. For a while, I did seem to have some leaks in the coolant and oil reservoirs. Stop leak coolant from the auto store did the trick for the first issue. For the second issue, I needed to buy a new gasket/plug that fit the oil release better. Since then, the car has been great. I don't like that I cannot replace the headlights myself without having to go to the dealership, since you technically have to take the number off to replace. My dad is an engineer and was able to do this for me most the time, but sometimes I had to pay to have the dealership to do this if I was traveling.
