Overall, our 2007 Saturn Outlook has been a practical car for our family. It is big enough to fit a large family like ours. It can fit three car seats in a row, which was very nice. Lots of cars could not accommodate three car seats across one row. The car did have more recalls than I would have liked and some of them were major recalls (transmission replacement). This car is my everyday driver and it has been reliable outside of the recall issues. It is a smooth ride, accelerates easily and with minimal jerking. It can handle mountains and hills without a problem. It is a very nice, comfortable, everyday ride. Outside of the recalls, we have only had one major issue with the gear shifter getting stuck that cost us about $600. Otherwise, with regular oil changes and tune ups, it's been... (more)
Story
We have taken many family vacations in this car. One particular trip we took was to Gatlinburg, TN to stay in a cabin. We had to drive through mountains and hilly areas and the car handled it without a hitch. It drove very smooth and did not get sluggish on the mountains. It was roomy enough to seat all 6 of us (two adults, four kids) and everyone was able to stay comfortable for the 6 hours i... (more)
Pros
I love that this vehicle has three rows. That was a requirement of whatever car we would have chosen due to our large family size. I also like the fact that the split bench AND the 3rd row both fold down to make a very large space in the rear for our two German Shepherds. I can lay the 2nd and 3rd row down for the dogs and put them in the rear and they have plenty of room. We've also done several camping trips and have been able to fit much more than we thought we would in the rear of that car. We have luggage racks on top just in case we need extra room. The car also has a DVD player in i... (more)
Cons
Getting into the 3rd row is a pain. The middle row is a split bench and it is not very easy to push up, so if you push it up it is a very tight squeeze to try and get in the 3rd row. Even our kids who are much smaller than us had a hard time getting in the 3rd row this way, so they've resorted to just climbing over the middle bench in order to get in the 3rd row. This car does not have a backup monitor either. I've driven cars that have one and it would be very convenient to have one in all models. The tire sensor system in this car is junk. The tire sensor light always comes on no matter ... (more)

I love this vehicle! It's been a great vehicle for hauling items and people in various situations. With all kinds of leg room, cup holders, and more, every one can be comfortable in each of the eight seats. Lumbar support on the driver's seat has been incredibly helpful so comfort can sustain on long drives. Any music is available at your fingertips thanks to the 6 pages of radio favorites, CD player as well as an aux input. Rear controls offer comfort for all 6 of the passengers in the back with heating and cooling options consisting of temperature control, fan control and placement of fans. Easily fold-able seats make hauling bigger items a breeze! Simply push the backs down and you're ready to go! Middle seats also fold down easily with a lift and fold feature for even more ... (more)
Story
I enjoy road trips and this vehicle is reliable and has held many memories while traveling to various locations.
Pros
Space is amazing! I love having tons of space for people or hauling items! All kinds of storage compartments with one middle armrest, two center pockets in the console and a lift out deep compartment for larger items. Quick fold seats are awesome with one simple step to fold or unfold. Lumbar support makes long drives comfortable for the driver and the front passenger. Fuel mileage is high when used appropriately.
Cons
The front hood can be challenging to open as the lift feature isn't easy to find and gets caught quite a bit. The vehicle has loads of cup holders available, but there are only two accessible within reach of the driver's seat. If both the driver and the passenger have a drink, it's full and nothing else is within reach. I've transported drink orders for work before and it's nearly an incident with several drinks and only two cup holders I can reach.

For the money, this vehicle is classy and elegant, and it has every possible luxury you can get on an SUV at a reasonable price. The problem is all of the electrical problems and transmission problems that it has.
Story
I took my son to New Orleans for his birthday. I took him to the zoo and on the way back we got off at the French Quarters, it was raining and instead of getting off we drove through it. It took us one hour to drive down the streets, but we had the radio on and we sang and dance and we had a lot of fun. He was a little embarrassed that I was dancing on my seat while singing, but he got over it.
Pros
I do like the features of the vehicle. I like that it has a moonlight panel on the back seat of the SUV and also sunroof in the front. It has leather interior, back sensors, running boards and DVD player on the back. It has adjustable seats and also memory you can adjust the setting for two drivers. You can open the trunk of the car with the keys and also start the car from the key sensor, which comes in handy when the windows are frosted, and I can started from the house and wait for it to defrost.
Cons
It has a lot of recalls. Specially electrical and transmission wise. I have had to replace the ignition switch several times, electrical problems with the transmission, headlight problems where the piece that holds the light bulb.
