My BRZ was a breeze to drive. It was fun, fast, and sometimes furious. I had it back when gas prices were tugging at $4.50/Gallon, so having a vehicle that was a solid ride and great on gas consumption was sweet! I am not a PRIUS kind of guy, so this was a sporty compromise. A small ride was all I needed since me and my girlfriend have no children (yet!).
Story
No matter where we went, people asked how I could afford THAT vehicle. Seems like most folks have never seen a Subaru. They always confused it with some other expensive sports car. Like I said, it was a sweet ride and looked HOT! I think that is why Karen rolled over the turtle. She was afraid the babes were looking at my beautiful blue chick magnet, uh, I mean sporty coupe!
Pros
At $24599, I found the Subaru BRZ Coup to be an excellent value. I was able to finance it for about $100/mo. Insurance cost was only about $650/year, despite the sporty look since has a 2.0L 4 cyl. Engine. As a working student, I was driving between home, college, and two part time jobs, girlfriend's house, and night spots. The vehicle was tight and absolutely dependable. I bought it new and put over 100K miles on it. The interior was really nice, black cloth inside a Blue Pearl shell. Mine came with a navigation system and Bluetooth. Cloth seats were nice in winter as they don't get cold ... (more)
Cons
The 6 speed manual tranny was a bit of a problem since my girl could not drive it. That is actually the reason we ditched it. That and the low ground clearance. She ran over a large turtle (ewww...) And cracked the oil pan. This happened after we moved into our new rural home. It became clear to me that this was not the right vehicle for non-city escapades. Could have been a bit more roomy, but I am 5'9" so it was okay.

The car handles great, and it is a blast to drive, especially as a daily driver. Gas mileage isn't too bad, but the car could use more power. It sometimes feels sluggish when accelerating. I haven't experienced any mechanical issues with the car besides a slight chirping noise, which I have heard that it is caused by the fuel pump. Before I purchased the car, the previous owner had already had the fuel pump replaced for the same reason, so I don't believe it is a huge issue and more of just an annoyance. The stock sound system in the car is about average, but better than many other cars that I've owned. I get mixed opinions on the comfort of the seats, I think they are very comfortable, while my girlfriend does NOT. Keep in mind that are car is very small and tight, I am about 5'10'' a... (more)
Story
It's fun to drive everyday. I have taken it to designated areas to drift a few times. If tires weren't so expensive, I would do that more.
Pros
Fun to drive, handles really well, decent gas mileage.
Cons
Noisy fuel pump, missing some common technology features, takes awhile to get up to speed.
