I love this car. It wasn't the car I learned to drive in, but it was my first car after getting my license. It is the best size. It is small enough to never have to worry about fitting into a parking space, and you can parallel park very easily. It is big enough to have four doors and feel safe inside. It has pretty much all features you would need in the heat, A/C, and radio.
Story
While driving around, I have been able to fit into spots where my friends couldn't, and I would give them a hard time.
Pros
The size is the best feature. Also, nothing has every gone wrong with it that wasn't something that I myself inflicted upon the car. The radio has always worked wonderfully, and it keeps me warm in the winter and cold in the summer. The seats all adjust nicely, and it has enough space to where I have been able to move many times and fill it up with a lot of stuff while still being safe to see. It also has great gas mileage. It takes me from $20-$25 to fill the tank up, and I refill maybe every few weeks or so.
Cons
The only negatives is that in this particular model, there is no AUX cord plug-in, however there is an AUX cord capability. You have to take out the radio and thread an AUX cord through, and I have just never gotten around to it. I use a Bluetooth radio transmitter if I ever want to listen to my own music and that works just fine. Also, since Suzuki is no longer made in the US, sometimes it's hard to get parts. Last summer, a FedEx truck backed into my car, and we had to get one of the doors replaced, and it was very difficult to find the right door.

I really like a lot of the aspects of my Suzuki. I love the captain chair like armrests in the front seats of the car. If I ever need to put them up it is quick and easy. The head room in the car is also great. My friend is 6'5" and still has room to spare up there. The performance in the snow is also great, especially with snow tires, no skidding or slipping at all. Finally on the good stuff, It has a decent ride and responsive steering and brakes for the price paid. Now on to what I don't like. I find the build quality of the interior to be lacking. Some panel or knob is always seeming to come off in the inside. Second, the trunk space is abhorrent. There is so little space in the trunk! I just can't even think about doing many things because I don't have the room. Further, the leg ... (more)
Story
One day a bunch of friends and I were trying to get to a party. Only I had a car so we ended up fitting 8 people in the Suzuki, a car meant for 5 at the very most.
Pros
Good in the snow Good head room
Cons
Horrible MPG Small gas tank Small back seat Small trunk

They take a licking and keep on ticking. This is the second Suzuki-built vehicle I've owned, purchased new in both cases, and in both cases these cars have consistently given me high gas mileage reliable transportation for the last two decades. I drive a great deal, travel a lot by car, and I cannot say enough about the good quality, comfortable ride and roomy cargo area of the SX-4.
Story
About three months after I bought this car, my best friend and I were on a rescue transport for a very sick cat. We were within a couple of hours of home when the cold rain turned to ice. The road got so slippery we pulled off of the highway and parked in a truck stop deciding to spend the night in this small car. We got hot chocolate and some marshmallows and then we roasted them using a BIC... (more)
Pros
Consistently get great gas mileage, my straight shift gives me great pickup on the highway for passing. My car is smaller than a Soul or Cube, but it has more (and more comfortable) back seat room and cargo area room than either. The back seats fold down to give even more cargo - or dog - space. I've hauled 8' 2x4s in this car before!
Cons
There's no adjustable lumbar support in the front seats. The speakers that come with the car stereo are just so-so.
