I really like my 2006 Highlander because it takes me to point A to point B, and it is very durable. The condition of the vehicle is still a good shape, the exterior is clean and well maintained as well as the exterior. I do not like the fact that it doesn't have built-in high tech sensors like the 2019 Highlander. It has about 120,000 miles on it and still running strong. Overall, gas efficient is great, strong engine and breaks. It is roomy and comfortable, seats seven people. Two extra seats are folded and hidden in the back trunk. The middle seat can be converted as well.
Story
I have driven the highlander from Texas to North Carolina to relocate, and it was very durable and memorable.
Pros
The top positive things are that it has a CD and tape player in the stereo drive, unlike the newer cars, those doesn't exist anymore. Another thing I like about it is the comfort of the seats, it's wider and has more room. Great for driving long distance and short as well. Amazing it is considered as my lucky car. No damages or any accidents. Great shape.
Cons
A few negative things about it are the lack of built-in sensors for changing lanes and backing up as well as side camera. Another negative is the lack of seat warmer button to heat it up in super cold weather. No Bluetooth connectivity but it has a charger outlet to insert a smartphone charger. No built-in GPS. You will need to use your own phone or buy a separate GPS for the car if needed.

2014 Toyota Highlander - Great car for the money.

I've enjoyed owning this car. It drives very smoothly, and I haven't had any issues whatsoever outside of general maintenance. My biggest complaint is the Entune system which is poorly designed. You cannot see the screen at all when there is a glare from the sun, which makes using it next to impossible.
Story
Great for driving around town and to the beach and mountains. In addition to be a fun grocery-getter, it is also has great performance when needing to accelerate quickly on the interstate during rush hour commute.
Pros
The Highlander has proven to be a great family vehicle. I can do all of my errands and shopping in one trip and fold down the third row seats for extra cargo room. the 3rd row is a tight squeeze for teens or adults, but smaller kids fit great and the convenience of having the extra seating makes up for the lack of leg room. Just don't make the older kids ride back there on long trips!
Cons
The Toyota Entune System desperately needs an overhaul and redesign to make it more user-friendly. Even with adjusting the colors and brightness, I still can't see the screen with bright sun glare.
