The most impressive characteristic about the Prius C is its gas mileage. In freeway driving, 40-55 mpg is about my average. However, due to its small engine, performance is sluggish. The car is very maneuverable in tight spots and great for city driving. Wind and road noises are loud at high speeds but not too unbearable. Cargo space is good for a subcompact. The 60/40 split-folding rear seats can accommodate bulky and long items. I had used this car for house moving twice, and it worked out very well. My car comes well equipped with the latest technologies at the time, such as USB outlets, Bluetooth, and built-in GPS. Interior trims are nothing fancy with the feel of cheap looking plastics. Head room is good, even for tall drivers. However, front visibility is hampered by a thick pill... (more)
Story
I owned a white Prius C. While going to the mall, I parked my car between two Big black SUVs. Upon returning to the car later, I took out my remote key to gain entry, but no matter what I did, nothing happened. I called AAA for help or a tow. Luckily at the same time, one of the SUVs backed out of the parking spot and there was another white Prius! Now I always check my license plate first. ... (more)
Pros
Excellent gas mileage. Ample cargo space with 60/40 split-folding rear seats.
Cons
Under powered and poor acceleration. Noisy at freeway speeds.

This is the Prius for people who don't want their car to have that awkward bar that cuts their rear window in half. The design is more functional than the regular Prius. It's only slightly less roomy than a regular Prius (subcompact vs. compact vehicle), and it is comfortable. Visibility is good. The engine is responsive and there's no issue keeping up with traffic.
Story
Last summer a friend and I took my Prius out to a hot spring resort for the day. It was a few hours' drive away, but with the car's smooth handling the ease of music playback, it was one of the best long drives I've ever taken! I normally go nuts driving for a long period of time. The best thing was it only cost about $7 worth of gas to drive nearly 4 hours.
Pros
Driving this car primarily in town, I average about 52mpg. The car has a 7 gallon tank, so you wouldn't think it would last very long. But sometimes I can go all month on $20 of fuel! This is also my first car with built in Bluetooth functionality and a USB charging port. It's seriously one of the best values you can get in the subcompact eco-car realm. MSRP when I bought it was just over $20,000 if you didn't want to pay extra for a built in navigation system.
Cons
As a subcompact car, having more than 3 adults in it at a time can start feeling cramped, especially if the driver is tall. Luckily I am not, but when my brother borrows the car he always has to move the driver's seat pretty far back and there wouldn't be much legroom at all behind him. The "clear bra" paint protector they put on the car also hasn't done much. It's started peeling off after a little over a year, and I have 2 years left on the lease.

We had a quick online chat with a representative at the dealership. She was very helpful, and set up a test drive quickly. We did not feel pressured at all to make the purchase, unlike many dealerships. They made a very competitive offer for the trade in of our old vehicle. Purchase was smooth, and I didn't feel like they "swindled" us at all.

It had a great deal for a Toyota Prius, and being in Portland meant there was no sales tax.
