Toyota Corolla Owner Ratings & Reviews

1995 Toyota Corolla - A great car that stands the test of time.
This car, like all Toyota cars I've owned, has performed exceptionally. I've never had a major problem with it in all the time I've owned it. It's compact and easy to maneuver in small city parking lots, and it gets great gas mileage so I save a lot of money overall. It's also easy to handle, and it has decent safety features, for a car of it's age. If I were to buy a car again, it would definitely be another Toyota.
Story
I like driving on the historic highway outside of town, and watching the sunset by the river.
Pros
The best thing about the Toyota Corolla is how efficient it is. I consistently get 30 miles to a gallon of gas, and these days that counts for a lot! I save a ton of money just from driving this car. I also like that it handles well and is compact, because that makes it easier to drive and park. I like that it's reliable. The only problems I've ever had were things that I caused (i.e. I backed into something on accident and got a ding.) I've never had major mechanical or engine issues. I love having a car I know I can rely on, and it's still going strong after over 20 years!
Cons
There aren't a lot of negatives to owning this car, in my opinion. It doesn't have a lot of trunk or passenger space, so it's probably not a good choice for someone with a large family, or for someone who wants to use it as a camping vehicle. For a city vehicle though, for daily commutes, it's perfect. The only thing I could change is I would upgrade to a Toyota Prius (instead of my Corolla) so that I could get even better gas mileage. That will probably be the next car I buy.
2008 Toyota Corolla - Best car ever.
My vehicle had only one previous owner and was purchased as a trade in (a downsize, from a Toyota Tacoma). After 6 years of ownership its now paid off; at 9 years old and with 135,000 miles its still running very strong and I have the feeling it will last for a very long time. I would rate the quality of this vehicle as the very highest, as the only issues I've ever had were related to the recent airbag recall mandated by Toyota...other than that, along with regular preventative maintenance (oil changes, flushes, etc.) its performance is outstanding.
Story
Even thought its a 4 door sedan, we take this car camping with our dogs quite a bit. We have a 2 year old breeze mountain dog, who is not so little, so we get a lot of funny looks with her in the backseat. Its a tight squeeze, but we wouldn't have it any other way!
Pros
My favorite features of the vehicle are the sunroof and the "get-up and go". Its speedy and durable which provides a sense of security whenever I travel long or short distances. I've had cars in the past that were nowhere near as reliable, so its definitely a luxury to have a vehicle as dependable as this one.
Cons
The one and only con I have for this vehicle is that it does not have an auxiliary plug in. The model year, 2008, happened to be the year right before Toyota began adding the auxiliary adapter as a basic feature, and it surely is missed on road trips and even while city driving. In short, we still use CD's, but there's even a silver lining in that, since it's a 6 disc changer!
