I absolutely love this car! At first I wasn't a fan. The outside styling is basic. Four doors. Not all that sporty but looks like something professionals drive. The engine is not huge, just a four cylinder so no real racing genes. I didn't know if I cared for the interior at first, but after a couple of weeks, I started to really enjoy all that it has to offer.
Story
Got pulled over by local police the day I bought it. In my state we have paper plates for new vehicles inside the rear window, and the cop thought the plate stated a different month and thought it was expired. Of course, it wasn't so he was quite embarrassed.
Pros
The screen on the dash is amazing, and I hope more auto makers follow suit. Keeping your eyes up instead of looking to the middle of the car where consoles typically are is far safer and important to me. The electronic parking brake is strange for me still but rarely use that so not a big deal. Cruise control, automatic seats and windows are all great additions but the rain-sensing wipers are pretty neat too. The car is very fuel-efficient for not being a hybrid; I can get 34 mpg with a mixture of city and highway driving, which is far better than my last car (23 mpg).
Cons
My car has two different colors for the leather in the interior, which I'm not a huge fan of and should have just stuck with black instead of the brown accents. A little bit more power to get up and go in traffic would be nice but sport mode does help a little more. Sometimes I feel like more technology will bite me in the behind down the road. The car already needed service for the smart city braking system, and the front camera needed to be replaced.

2008 Mazda Mazda3 - Zoom Zoom indeed!

I love my little Mazda 3 hatchback! I've never owned a car that's so fun to drive before. It only has a 2.3 liter engine, but it will still press me back in my seat if I really floor it. The seats are comfortable, the interior spacious and aesthetically pleasing and the manual transmission gives me complete control over when to shift which is awesome.
Story
Probably my best memory from the car was making out with my then-girlfriend in the back seat after our second date. We didn't really have anywhere to hang out and I had just purchased the car so we went out and sat in it for awhile.
Pros
Fast. Powerful. Fun to drive. Comfortable. 4 doors make for easy access. Hatchback great for hauling things. Good stock sound system. Decent gas mileage. Sleek/sporty design. Manual transmission.
Cons
Burns through a lot of oil. Runs a bit rough while idling. Doesn't have a built-in AUX jack or Bluetooth. Inconvenient to drive in heavy traffic due to manual transmission. Broken solder points in stock stereo requiring FM transmitter instead of wired BT. No backup camera.
