I rode and drove in this car many times before I purchased it, so I was familiar with its strengths and weaknesses before buying it. I like that it got decent gas mileage on long drives, had a lot of space for hauling cargo, and was highly rated in terms of safety. Even for a minivan, it drove really, really well. It was safe, dependable, and did not randomly break down.
Story
I've taken a lot of fun road trips with this van, but my recent favorite was hauling around a bunch of friends who came to visit and go on brewery/restaurant tours. It was awesome to be able to stuff eight people into one car and tote them around for a day.
Pros
I used to drive a very small car, so having three times as much space to haul things around was really helpful. Also, knowing that it would start in cold weather and be able to handle slippery roads better, made me feel better about driving it. I'm short, so sitting up a little bit higher made it easier to see on narrow city streets where cars are allowed to park all the way up to the curb. It also has a larger gas tank than my old car -- 20 gallons as opposed to 12, so I can go much longer between refills.
Cons
Okay, so I may have fibbed a little when I said that it didn't randomly break down. The CD player has stopped working and, every now and again, the interior lights will flicker on and off. It's also totally not stylish, but I don't care much about that.

I love my Toyota Sienna; it has been a very reliable car. It is a comfortable ride with plenty of room for passengers. The captains chairs in the second row are comfortable enough for full-grown adults, and the spacing of them keeps kids from fighting (gives each kid their own space so they're not right on top of each other). I've only ever had to do routine maintenance to this car! It has never left me stranded. It currently has 125,000 miles on it, and I think it could easily handle double that. I like the way that the third row seat stores into the floor of the car; it is so convenient. This car is fuel efficient and is great on a road trip. I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for a great family car or looking to haul a lot of stuff. The possibilities are... (more)
Story
My child threw up in it on the second day we owned it! Yuck! Fortunately, it cleaned up easily, and we were able to air it out.
Pros
First, it is a comfortable riding car. You sit up high above the road, and the arm rests are fully adjustable. Not only is the driver's seat is comfortable with adjustable arm rests, but all four of the "chairs" are. Second, it has a ton of cup holders which really comes in handy on long road trips and on our way to sports practice. Third, this car is reliable and a work horse. I've never been disappointed in its performance, and we've taken it everywhere. Fourth, this is a great road trip or camping car because you can haul so much gear while riding comfortably. Fifth, I like how th... (more)
Cons
The only negatives about this car are that it goes through tires quickly, I've already had to put three sets of tires on it. The tire shop tells me that's just the nature of minivans, but it gets expensive. Some little edging pieces on the exterior of the car haven't held up well, and it seems to collect dirt/leaves in the hatch back edge. Also, the handle for the rear door has become sticky and can be tricky to use, although I've gotten used to it. I wish the car had come with a tow hitch. We installed one after market, and it has been sufficient for holding our bike rack but often sc... (more)
