I like my 2012 Rav4 very much. It has a third-row seating - my favorite feature. So that is great for a small family like ours when we need to fit in more persons on some occasions. Otherwise we can simply fold the third row and that gives us a ton of storage space. At its price point, the Rav4 with third row is the best SUV in the market. I remember driving over 200 miles to get delivery of this car. However, since this model is discontinued, there were only a few colors available to pick from. Also, it doesn't have a back-up camera.
Story
Fun story, when we pulled up in my friend's driveway, he was surprised to see that such a small car were carrying seven adults!
Pros
Three top positives for this vehicle. First, my favorite feature of having a third row. Second, it has a great fuel economy. Third, it has low annual maintenance.
Cons
Only cons I can think of is availability of colors... we had to settle on black color instead of red as there weren't enough colors with third-row seating option.

2011 Toyota RAV4 - Sporty little SUV with plenty of space.

When I first started shopping for a new SUV, I drove several different makes and models. None of them really succeeded in helping me part with my money until I test drove the RAV. The vehicle construction feels solid. No 'cheap' feeling about it. There is plenty of head space and cargo space. The rear seats lay down giving me even more cargo room. It is very quick to accelerate and great on gas for an SUV of its size (27mpg minimum highway). It handles very nicely and brakes quickly, in contrast to other SUVs of its size. There are a couple 'wish I hads' with this vehicle. The less than desirable tow capacity being my main gripe: 3500lbs doesn't give me many options. I could tow a jet ski or two with it I suppose. In contrast to something like a 4Runner, this feels weak. The 4WD diseng... (more)
Story
Throwing an air mattress in the back and camping around various state parks with my girlfriend. We never paid once for a place to sleep and had a blast doing it.
Pros
Handles great for an SUV, feel more like driving a car. Amazing on gas, 27mpg on the highway. Accelerates and brakes quickly. Plenty of cargo space. Rear seats fold down. Construction feels very solid, high quality parts that last.
Cons
I wish it had higher tow capacity. The max is 3500lb, so you're not going to tow a decent size boat or trailer with it. The rear door is a bit heavy as it has a full spare tire mounted on it. I also don't like that it opens to the side

Shelor has always made me feel as if I am a member of their family. Their dealers have a knack for knowing exactly when they're needed, and when it is best for them to stay away. One thing I hate about other dealerships is when I just want to wander around and I'm accosted by people trying to sell me something; not help me.
