I bought this car when I was a freshmen in college. At the time, I was making hardly any money and was concentrating in school. The 2002 Toyota Tacoma was the only vehicle I could possibly own. The design of the truck itself is perfect. The fact that it is a truck just fits my personality. It is not a 4x4, but in my case it is not needed. The silver color is great and the height of the truck fits my 6'1 stature. I'm a single guy that loves to take road trips alone and this truck is perfect for me. It is strong yet drives smooth just like an SUV.
Story
The fun part about my tuck is that me being the only guy driving in downtown Sacramento and San Francisco in a truck. I love that feeling.
Pros
My favorite feature about this truck is that it gives me the feeling of being independent, strong, and sleek. That's how I feel when driving my truck.
Cons
The negative thing about my truck is that it does use up a lot of gas. It's not too bad, but I guess with gas prices rising it can get tricky once in a while.

This has been a very reliable vehicle. It is a 1995, which means it's rapidly approaching its 20-year birthday, but it has not underperformed a day in its life. Even the wear and tear on the vehicle has been fairly minimal, given its age. I have had to do minimal maintenance compared to my previous vehicle (a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix) where things seemed to be breaking left and right, month after month. I suppose the only things I really dislike about this vehicle are the lack of features, i.e. power windows, power locks, etc. It has the original cassette player installed, however, I have gotten around this inconvenience by using a cassette-to-mp3 player adapter. I have also used this with my phone (using Spotify/Pandora/etc.) so it has not been too much of an issue. I believe since thi... (more)
Story
Despite its age, this was always the "chosen" vehicle to make out-of-state trips, including to Vegas, Texas, etc. I have many fond "road trip" memories in this truck.
Pros
Minimal maintenance required. I like how "high" the vehicle sits (i.e. not as low to the ground as a typical car). Sturdy construction, reliable.
Cons
Lack of power locks and windows. Minimal cargo space. "Rough" ride. Stock features such as cassette player. No window tint.

I felt that the employees (both the sales personnel and the service station staff) were very friendly. They answered all our questions and didn't pressure us to go another direction when it came to purchasing a new vehicle. They listened to us and gave us our space. It's a very clean sales floor and service station. There is a lot of places to sit when waiting for your vehicle to be serviced. There's even a shuttle service.

Jim , the internet manager at Antioch Toyota was great. He gave us a fantastic quote on a new Toyota Camry and was friendly and not at all pushy. The overall process of buying the car was amazing. Not only did we get the best quote in the area (we saved about $1500) but also the sales staff was not at all pushy unlike a few other dealerships we had earlier been to.
