We got this SUV because we wanted a vehicle for the occasional off-roading trips that we planned on going. But instead, we used it more often as a transport for our stuff. The overall build quality is pretty good. It looks and feels solid. We have our fair share of the occasional bumps, but usually, it takes it better than the other vehicle. The engine is good, but after a few years, we were warned by Toyota's authorized dealer that there could be a potential leak in the gasket, and the repair could be costly. We're still driving it without fixing it. Through the years, there were a number of recalls to fix the brakes. Other than all these negatives, it's an OK SUV for the usual commute and the ability to move large items in its spacious back.
Story
We went for a road trip with friends, and there were around 7 of us squeezed into the vehicle. Despite the discomfort, it was a fun trip, and the SUV did its job without issues.
Pros
Spacious and can squeeze one more person at the back. It's largely free of defects. We haven't encountered any breakdowns. It's sturdy and robust. It's a V6 and has lots of power. It's small and still hauls everything I need it to haul.
Cons
Bad mileage and not as efficient as newer generation equivalent SUVs. Has got its fair share of recalls. There's a potential problem with a leaky gasket that affects this model.

I loved the feel of the car. The car is really responsive and makes you feel in complete control. The car doesn't breakdown as much as most, especially if you maintain it properly. The large interior makes it very roomy and allows for it to be used as a small carrier of sorts. I use it for a lot of my grocery trips or if I have a lot of things to move from one place to another. It is a large vehicle but it feels like a mid-sized sedan. It doesn't feel like it is very heavy when you drive but you feel a lot more safe in it than if you were in a sedan.
Story
I used this car to road trip from California to Utah. It was an awesome drive.
Pros
The size of the vehicle is its biggest strength. It is a lot more versatile this way. The reliability of the car is a big strength too. It's lasted me ten years and still going strong.
Cons
It's not as maneuverable as other cars. It doesn't move as freely as other cars. A really sharp turn at high speeds would probably cause it to tip over or swerve a bit.
