Toyota Camry Owner Ratings & Reviews

2009 Toyota Camry - Great car. Reliable and safe.
Very responsive and quick for a 4 cylinder. Interior, comfortable seats and all features are easily accessible to driver w/out having to reach or look away from road. Styling, headlights and taillights are very bright and sporty looking. Also the car has amazing comfort. No matter if you're in the front seats or back. What I don't like: gas Mileage, this thing is a gas guzzler. I drive back county roads and highway everyday to work. And I average probably 22 mpg. If it's strictly highway then the MPG obviously goes up. I made it almost 500 miles from a Full tank to the light coming on (Tank is 18 Gallons). Bad in inclement weather, my wife's 2007 Buick Lucerne pushed up a hill through snow like it was nothing. My car spun out at the bottom and couldn't make it up. Also the Traction con... (more)
Story
I had a road trip last year. I drove from East Coast to West Coast with no problems.
Pros
It has never let me down merging into busy traffic with it's power or pulling hills. I love the automatic down shift of gears when coming down a steep hill. The Sports Edition has all the perks and whistles that were available in that year that are available in the newer models.
Cons
This car has oil consumption issues or at least my car does. Toyota has the parts on back order.
2005 Toyota Camry -
The biggest thing that I like about my vehicle is the reliability. It has been 10+ years since I purchased the vehicle at an auction, and it has not once broken down on me. As long as you keep up with the regular maintenance, the gas mileage (30+/gal) and overall reliability of the car are outstanding. The second thing that I believe Toyota really put effort into is the comfort of the vehicle. There is a huge amount of leg room and a huge trunk, something that is extremely beneficial to commuting workers/students such as myself. Additionally, the car is literally a tank. I've been in one at-fault collision and have been hit once myself... the Camry hangs in there and continues to push onward without any missteps! I love my Camry!
Story
There's so much room in this vehicle, you can easily fit four–five medium-sized individuals in the back seats. In high school, while it was cross-country season, I used to transport my fellow runners to running locations away from our HS to get a change of scenery! With a Camry, it was no problem!
Pros
I would have to say that my most favorite part of the Camry is the amount of space that the vehicle has. I have been able to fit luggage, a bike, and more, with still plenty of room to fit passengers. It's unreal and a huge convenience for me, especially as a commuter. I also enjoy that it's very basic. There's no fancy technology to mess with; just get in, start up, and drive.
Cons
In this day and age, the really only negative aspect of this vehicle is the gas mileage. At just around 30mpg, it's on the lower end of the range for cars today. In the past, this thing was a beast in gas mileage.
