The car, itself, is beautiful and is a fun car to drive. The biggest issue is that it seems that it has a lot of mechanical issues that were BMW specific (i.e. not related to improper maintenance, etc.). While looking at the BMW forums, it appears that the issues are common for this car. Apparently, while BMW makes a good engine/transmission, the biggest complaint is that the gaskets and seals they use are significantly lacking and often wear prematurely.
Story
Going to the beach, I get a lot of looks and comments on the vehicle. I love when people come up to me and tell me how much they love my car and how it takes them back to some of their favorite cars.
Pros
Looks and styling, performance, options available.
Cons
Mechanical issues, constantly requires tinkering.
