Finally I had a chance to buy a car of my dreams, BMW Z4. It satisfied all the urges: a 2 seater convertible luxury car with great built quality, stellar reputation and ohh, a really punchy engine. When I landed my new job after college I told myself BMW will be my reward after working really hard in school, and getting a great job. Not any BMW, a convertible, stick, with a sport package. Did my research, great reviews on it, economical mpg, producing over 270hp, reliable, and within my price range. There are so many things I love about the car. For starters is the built quality, fit and finish is top of a line. Everything feels luxurious, never plasticky. Everything is soft with good padding behind it, no gaps, all switches and moving parts are very mechanical and smooth. Well illumin... (more)
Story
Every BMW owner will approach you at the gas station or honk their horn when passing. Its a club really!
Pros
1.Engine 34mpg highway, but you put your foot down and it takes off like a rocket 2. The make, certain standards are always met, legacy of BMW 3. Fit and finish is stellar from gauges to buttons, everything feels clicky/satisfying 4. Trunk space is well accommodating 5. Customer service, a biggie! I had a recall on the powered roof, they took the car gave me free of charge loaner, and every time I take it for reg maintenance (oil change mostly) they do a full detailing outside and inside!
Cons
1. Price, we all want to stretch our buck 2. When out of warranty parts and labor is very expensive, a average grease-monkey shop wont fix it as all is computer controlled 3. Having a nice car is a curse for some, worrying someone will ding/dent when parked is always on ones mind, so yeah I am one of those people that parks way far from everyone else! 4 Insurance can be steep

My 2007 BMW Z4 has been a great vehicle thus far. I have owned it for approximately two years, and there is very little I can say negatively about it. It has great "get up and go", and is so much fun to drive. The handling is wonderful. Unlike a Mustang, which I've owned in the past, it handles curves like a champion. No need to slow to a halt for risk of flipping over. It is made for this type of driving.
Story
When I go to visit my mother in another state, I pass through a very mountainous terrain. I have been in a different vehicle that struggled around the mountains, but this car handles the difference like you are on flat ground.
Pros
The convertible top, as I'm sure most people enjoy, is one of my favorite features. The fact that it is automatic is a huge bonus. The speed and handling, which I've already mentioned, are great assets. The gas mileage is very good for a sports vehicle. The sensors are wonderful. If you have a problem with tire pressure or fluids, for example, the lights will come on indicating the problem. I also find this car extremely comfortable. Though it is small, the seats have a great design to them, and the trunk actually holds quite a bit of storage. Also, the small space means less junk for me t... (more)
Cons
If you are using the automatic shifting, as opposed to the Steptronic system, the car is a little sluggish when transitioning out of the first gear. The small size, while a benefit for me, can be a negative for taller individuals like my husband, or if you need to transport anything of a larger size. Unfortunately, this year model does not have Bluetooth functionality unless you paid for the upgraded package. Probably the biggest con to me is the maintenance costs. If anything does go wrong, even a burnt out headlight, you will pay much more than you would for an American car.

2017 BMW Z4 - Brilliant working in this knowledge session too good and stylish to anything in this matter faculty at that moment. to this car in this developing to the moment.

Some sports cars are bought to be driven, and—let's be honest here—some are bought to be flaunted. The outgoing BMW Z4 always felt more suited to catwalk duties, as it was compromised by the cumbersome retractable hard top that operated like a mechanized ballet but added mass and bulk in the wrong places for a sports car. As such, it struggled to make a convincing case to buyers asking the toughest question in this market.
Story
Florida to the best location in the story. The new Z4's cabin features digital instruments in addition to a 10.2-inch touchscreen in the center of the dashboard. The interior is well finished and features BMW's latest-generation switchgear, but it's otherwise short on distractions. The seating position is low and the windshield header relatively high. Taller drivers have sufficient headroom wi... (more)
Pros
The new Z4 is far sharper to drive than its predecessor, and Boxster comparisons will certainly come. But the more pressing question is how it will differ from the new Toyota Supra. In an unlikely corporate hookup, both cars will be built by Magna Steyr in Austria, and they are as closely related as models with different exterior styling can be. The Supra is a coupe and the Z4 a convertible, but both use the same structure and share all underbody hard points, suspension design, and powertrains. But don't assume the Z4's fabric roof makes it the less athletic sibling. Indeed, after driving ... (more)
Cons
The Z4 certainly has visual presence befitting a sports car, but it definitely also possesses both good and bad angles. Viewed dead on from the front or the rear, it's striking. The angular headlights feature stacked elements rather than BMW's long-established side-by-side layout. With its muscular haunches and interesting contours, the rear has a visual width that makes this Z4 look bigger and more grown up than its predecessors.
