From the moment I purchased this car, I was in the love. You get the power of the bigger cars in the small package that is the 1-series. This equates to a hell of a fun ride! The styling of the car is subjective. Some people will love it, others will hate it. But this is a driver's car. If you appreciate feeling connected to the road and love the responsiveness of a tossable car, this the car is for you!
Story
The most fun I've had in this car is carving canyons. The car is confidence inspiring and begs you to push it hard through the corners. It's a very fun car in the right hands.
Pros
My favorite thing about this car has to be its performance. The entire package of the car is astounding. You get that N54 twin turbo power plant under the hood that rockets you forward. The torque is low and in a daily usable range that anyone can appreciate. The brakes work more than well. Since the car weighs so little due to its small size, this car has no problem going, stopping, and cornering well.
Cons
Some negatives about that car include maintenance and fuel economy. Like any German car, you must expect to pay a premium for maintenance. BMW is no exception. An oil change can set you back over 100 dollars easy. If you are a grease monkey, you can save a few bucks by doing the work yourself, but even then, parts are not cheap on these cars. The fuel economy isn't the best, but you don't buy a performance car for that, but it's worth mentioning.

The BMW 135i is an excellent car if you are a sports or track car enthusiast. It has incredible power, precise handling, a tight suspension and strong breaks. The turbocharger provides enough boost for the car to accelerate to 60 mph from a dead stop in under six seconds. The internal build quality is quite hit, as would be expected of a BMW. The interior is all leather with carbon fiber accents. The electronics of the 2008 model have aged well, with the exception of Bluetooth not being available in all trims and no available rear view camera. The trunk is surprisingly spacious for a car this small. In argument against the BMW 135i, the back seat is cramped and only suitable for small children over longer distances. Fuel consumption is not particularly good, which only drives up the ... (more)
Story
There are two roads not far from my home that have the perfect combination of twists and straights, with almost no traffic. I've had the opportunity a few times to push the car a little bit (not beyond the realm of safe driving) with my daughters in the car. Hearing their excited giggles when they are being pushed into their seats brings a smile to my face.
Pros
It's an absolute blast to drive, with incredible handling and an impressively-powerful engine.
Cons
The cost of fuel and the costs of out-of-warranty repairs.

The car is so much fun! I love small, compact cars and this fits the bill. It's super easy and fun to thread through traffic. It has the same engine as in larger cars; it's super powerful and smooth. The car is very stylish with a very simple yet high quality, tasteful interior.
Story
I love taking it on road trips to LA and Las Vegas, blasting along the freeway at 100mph+ and the car is barely breaking a sweat. Give it a wash upon arrival and it fits in perfectly around the nicer areas.
Pros
The turbocharger i6 engine is super smooth and powerful, minimal turbo lag, loads of low down torque. The twin clutch transmission shifts almost imperceptibly. The interior is typical German quality, lots of leather and soft touch materials, very little hard cheap plastic. The seats are super comfortable and supportive for sporty driving, and the ergonomics of the cabin, steering wheel etc. are superb.
Cons
While the front seats are fantastic places to be for long trips, the back seats are cramped. The fuel economy isn't great, though that's not entirely unexpected for a car of its performance caliber. The ride is a tad firm, it would benefit from an adaptive suspension setup, but that does make the handling very tight and lots of fun.
