My Chevy Cobalt has been wonderful to me. The only problems I have had with this vehicle have been routine, small, and inexpensive. I have had it for about 4 years, and almost reached 100,000 miles. One of the deciding factors about purchasing it was the power windows, power locks, and auxiliary input. I was actually in a front-end collision last year in my Cobalt. I was not hurt, and walked away thanks to the safety features on this car. Since then, I have got all the repairs done and it still works like a charm. I had a baby this year, and with all the safety ratings and such I was very pleased with this car purchase for my small family needs. There are a few things that I've had problems with such as: power windows stop working and start working randomly and buttons get stuck. The c... (more)
Story
On the weekends when I lived in Northwest Arkansas, I used to drive my car in the mountains. My Fiancé and I would get in the car with our Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Einstein, and go pick up some burgers, fries and shakes from a local burger stand. I would bring my camera, and we would go to Beaver Lake. There was a small picnic area we would always go to and spend hours eating, laughing, and spend... (more)
Pros
Some of my favorite things about the vehicle are the cosmetic features. I like that most of the interior and dash is black and easy to clean. The back seat space is incredible, and can easily fit three adults. The radio and audio system is wonderful for coming with the vehicle and not after-market parts. I was sold when I found out it had an auxiliary input, which I use every time I drive. The power locks were a huge plus for me as well. The gas mileage is incredible. I drove 40+ miles a day to work and home and a tank would last me over a week. This car also handled amazingly in icy and s... (more)
Cons
I do not like that when the car is put into park, all four doors automatically unlock. Being a small woman and mother, this makes me feel unsafe. Since I bought the car four years ago, I have had a problem with the power windows. Some days they will not roll down, while others they work fine. There has been a few times where they have rolled down, and would not roll back up for a few hours. The car handles on the inside of the door have been chipping from their black color, and are turning grey from daily minimal wear. The steering column does not have much range, and for someone who is sh... (more)

This car is one of those cars that you can't necessarily say is a "really nice/fancy car", but that does not mean that it is completely lacking of modernized features. Acceleration on this little 4-cylinder is a bit more than I expected, and I can actually "get off the line" at a red light just as fast as some much newer models. Smooth transition between gears, and no slipping. Mine has all original parts and there have been zero engine or transmission issues. Trunk space in this car is honestly very surprising. At first glance from outside, you would think it is small. Open the trunk up though and it is large enough to for a plethora of things (I fit a large collapsible baby stroller, diaper bags, all the groceries from my shopping trip, and a large box of comic books in it recently... Story
I was able to fit all the costume pieces for several cosplay costumes into this car, along with some friends, and drive to an anime convention.
Pros
Sirius XM Radio built in standard. Does not look like an old car. Body styling is reasonably modern, with rounded edges instead of boxy edges. Fantastic gas mileage. Ample trunk space.
Cons
Manual windows. Developed a drift to the right after 80k miles, and had never been wrecked. Fabric the interior is made of (plain cloth, not pleather) is very easily unraveled if a seam comes loose. This looseness of fabric weave could also itself lend to seams coming undone.

He worked with me on getting a good deal on the car and gave me better trade-in value for my previous car than it deserved. He also worked with me on getting me a good loan with better terms than I certainly deserved with my credit history
