2011 Chevrolet Equinox - Excellent Family Car
All around, I really love my Equinox. My husband and I bought it before we had kids but with kids in mind-- I told him I wanted it to have enough space for two car seats in the second row and a large stroller pus groceries in the trunk. In terms of those criteria, it's done exactly that-- more trunk space than we've found in most other cars, especially as you start to look at larger crossovers or small SUVs that include a third row. It handles nicely, although it doesn't have much pickup. It's an attractive car-- I prefer the look of Chevys overall-- and seems to be pretty popular because I notice them around a lot. It hasn't had any major repairs needed in the past three years other than basic tune-ups. It gets decent gas mileage. My one gripe is that, as a shorter lady, I have a diff... (more)
Story
When we bought the car, we were looking for a vehicle that would grow with our family. We didn't know we would have twins less than a year later! Luckily, there really is plenty of room in that second row :)
Pros
Great storage space in back
comfortable seating
heated leather seats
radio controls built into steering wheel
OnStar capability (we've used it a few times in the past)
gas mileage is okay
attractive car
comfortable handling
Cons
Visibility/blind spots
slow pickup/acceleration
2015 Chevrolet Equinox - Great car for special needs.
The quality of this car inside and out is fabulous. The trim is beautiful and looks expensive, but actually is affordable for the average family. The inside is spacious, fitting easily five people with plenty of leg room in the front and the back. The backseat is able to be pushed forward or backward as a whole to increase or decrease trunk space.
Story
We have enjoyed using this vehicle traveling to different locations such as the zoo and park. We have two sons, one with special needs, and due to the design and space we have been able to accommodate both children.
Pros
Pros about this car would be the design on the inside and outside. It is comparable in looks to a more expensive car, yet is affordable. Despite being affordable, this does not take away from performance. Gas mileage is great whether back roads or highway, holding about 15 gallons. I enjoy the steering wheel controls for the radio, and am able to easily switch stations or do a performance check from one button.
Cons
Cons about this car would probably be overall trunk space. Depending on family size and/or needs, this vehicle is either luxuriously spaced in the trunk or just mediocre. It is able to fit a fairly large stroller with add-on pieces, but for the size of the car should be able to fit more.

2010 Chevrolet Equinox - Lannan Chevrolet Of Lowell
I really enjoyed working with Chevrolet of Lowell. The sales staff was very nice and not at all overly pushy when I came in to browse the vehicles. They allowed me to test drive several different vehicles before I made a choice. The price I paid was very fair and I was able to get a good amount for my trade in as well. Overall I am very satisfied and would come back again.

They really provided me with a lot of options and broke down all of my potential choices. They laid everything out really well and didn't really bug me much, just let me decide.
