2012 Chevrolet Cruze - Drives well but needs frequent maintenance.
Overall, this car has performed decently. When there is not an issue with the car it runs very smoothly and reliably. There are a lot of great features available, even in the models that are a few years old like rear sensors for backing up, Bluetooth capability, and more. This had made parking in a big city like Boston so much easier! The rear sensors allow me to easily parallel park on busy streets. Unfortunately, this car is often plagued with mechanical and computer issues, causing it to need to frequent maintenance.
Story
This car always reliably took me from Boston to Pennsylvania between school and home. I was able to share safe and comfortable road trips with friends and family between the location. Everyone was always able to fall asleep in the passenger seat on long drives!
Pros
This car has fantastic gas mileage. I frequently travel between Boston and Philadelphia and was easily able to make each leg of the trip on less than one tank of gas. This made trips easy and reduced the need for frequent fill-ups along the way.
Cons
A major con of this car is that it has needed frequent maintenance due to issues internally with computer chip. A recall was released on the computer chip inside. The issues causes of a lot of unnecessary warnings to pop up on the screen inside the car, even when there is not an actual issue. It is also prone to frequent resets and issues with recognizing the chip in the key.
2011 Chevrolet Cruze - Love My Cruze
I have had my Chevy Cruze for over 3 years now. I love it today just as much as I did when I first purchased it. The quality of the car for the price is unbeatable. It has luxury aspects without the luxury price tag. As the models of the car progress, I could easily see myself buying another Cruze in the future.
Story
I get compliments on my car all the time. It's a sky blue color so it's very eye catching. People tell me they love the color and the look of the car.
Pros
This car is very roomy without being too big. Trunk space is ample. Gas mileage is great. I can go almost 2 weeks before needing to get gas. I live in New England and even in the winter months, I feel safe in the car and feel it handles well.
Cons
I feel like the front bumper may not be that strong or well made. I've ended up with quite a few scratches not knowing where they have come from. Seems to be a very delicate area of the car.
