2015 Hyundai Genesis - I love my Genesis.
I love this car. I am not a car person. I am not a person that discusses anything remotely about cars, but I love this car! The Genesis has a refined interior and extremely smooth handling. It also has loads of power when I need it. I have driven this care for 23,000 miles. I have had no problems! All of the internal components exude a luxury feel without the super expensive price. I have not heard one rattle or had any tech problems. I love this car. The car is sharp with beautiful clean lines. The front grill is a major eye catcher as well. Every time I stop to get gas someone asks me about my car. I would not be upset if that is where the joy ended. However, the car has so much more to offer. The car is practical as well. I love the fuel economy of the vehicle. I can drive into the ... (more)

I love the fuel economy of the vehicle. I can drive into the city and back for work all week on one tank of gas. The Genesis gets 29mpg on the highway and 19mpg in the city. I love that! The car also takes unleaded, not premium like some other luxury brands. The car is huge. I can easily fit both my son's booster set as well as our rear facing infant seat with plenty of room. The truck is a great size. I can fit both luggage and my stroller inside with room to spare. The main thing that I love about the trunk is the wide opening. Several other car manufactures make great trunks with small openings. How am I suppose to fit a stroller or anything wide in there? Genesis got this right. I know that this car will hold up over a long period of time. I have a six year old and an infant. Between the throwing of bottles, wasting food and beverages, not to mention the temper tantrums that have occurred during long summer trips, this car has thrived.
We had a massive hailstorm within a week of purchasing this car. The hail was golf ball size. It cracked our kitchen windows, dinged our smoker on our deck, and caused numerous dents on the roof of our BMW 3 series. When we went outside to check the Genesis, not a scratch. The BMW had $6,500 in damages. Both cars were side by side in the driveway. The Genesis did not have one dent nor scratch.

Let's talk about my favorites. First, the car comes with an 8 point touch screen and navigation, push button start, and dual climate controls. The touch screen is super easy to navigate, (very easy for a non-techie). Next, lets talk safety. The main reason that I purchased this car was due to an automobile accident. I was struck head on by a driver under the Influence of drugs. I will not but a car that is not high on safety. This care has numerous safety features. I have the standard rearview camera, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, blin... (more)

The car also received a five star crash rating from the National Highway Traffic and Safety Commission. Third, this is a comfortable, reliable highway car. We have driven through hail storms and severe thunderstorms without any loss of handling.
The only negative thing that I have to say about the car is the efficiency of the A/C in the back of the car. The kids have their own vents in the back of the car that they can control. The vents do not necessarily cool the kids as quickly as the front seat. After a few minutes, the car generally cools down. I just wish that it did it faster.

2016 Hyundai Genesis - Solid large luxury sedan
Overall, I've had a very positive experience owning a 2016 Genesis Sedan for nearly three years. Hyundai has made great strides and improvements in their cars in the resent years. They pack their cars full of new technology at affordable prices. I haven't had a single mechanical issue with the year in three years. I owned a Genesis Coupe previous to this car and didn't have any issues with that car either. When you package the new technology, lower price points, reliability, along with the great warranty, there is not much to complain or see negative about. Car was AWD and handled fantastic in the snow with both all season and snow tires. The only dislike for me is the fact that the car is on the larger end, which is something I was not used to. I enjoy a smaller more sporty car while the Genesis is more of a large luxury sedan. It is not necessarily a bad thing about the car, just personal preference. The interior and exterior were both very styling and used high-quality materials.
Just the number of looks you get at the car, as you do not see many Genesis cars on the road and most of the population does not know what the car emblem is.

The car drove very smoothly, plenty of power and speed even with the lower end engine 3.8 v6 instead of the 5.0 v8. It was packed with technology such as parking assist, sensors, blind spot detection, lane detection, remote start, navigation. The car looked awesome as well with a full sunroof very styling and high-quality materials.

The main negative for me was how large and heavy the car was. I am more interested in smaller to midsize sporty sedans. Also, the wind shield tends to fog up with a thin film quite often.

2013 Hyundai Genesis - The Genesis is great!
The 2013 Hyundai Genesis is a well-built, high-quality vehicle. The 3.8 engine has more than enough power to move the car, at 330 HP. The car is very roomy, and comfortable. Features of the car are a seven-speaker stereo system, dual-zone climate controls, heated seats, sport shift, dual reclining front seats, power mirrors, and much more. The fit and finish are very impressive. The trunk is absolutely huge. The car is also very aftermarket audio friendly. It is very easy to replace the door speakers. The trunk is more than large enough for a sub without impacting utility, and the audio signal from the factory radio is very good.

Everywhere we go, people tend to stare at us and our car. It's pleasing. Other Genesis owners even wave and gives us thumbs up.

The price. The engine power. Audio quality. Comfortability. Heated seats. Space.

Transmission needed replacement at less than 60k miles. The car is not very friendly to work on yourself. There is no clear listing of parts numbers available from the manufacturer. Everything from rotors to oil filters are hard to get ahold of.
