2012 Mitsubishi Outlander.
The 2012 Mitsubishi Outlander is a decent, middle-tier SUV. The quality and workmanship is decent but not great. The optional 3rd-row seating is sub-par but works well for small children. The gas mileage and performance a good but "powerful" is not a word that would come to mind. Cargo space and folding seats provide plenty of room to haul things. Premium sound system is great. Bluetooth capability works well. The turning ratio is the best I've ever experienced.
Great crossover that holds up over time!
I purchased this car when it was ten years old and it has handled so well from that moment on, that you would swear it never ages! In New Orleans, the city where I live and drive, the streets are notoriously uneven and filled with potholes. This reeks havoc on the suspension and steering of most cars, but my Mitsubishi Outlander has handled it without taking on any of these damaging effects. It always provides a smooth ride over uneven streets, unlike some trucks, SUVs, and crossovers that rattle, shake, and bounce passengers all over the place! I am an artist who creates large sculptures. This means that I often need to transport large sculptures and ridiculously large amounts of supplies and tools in my car. I never cease to be amazed at how much I can fit into my car when I fold down the back seats! It's so convenient, almost like owning a pick-up truck, but better because it's closed in, protecting my belongings from weather and other elements. My Outlander also handles the weight of any heavy items I load it down with and still drives safely and just as predictably. Not to mention it never guzzles gas whether the car is empty or full. My friends also love to ride in my car when we go places as the leather seats are super comfortable and never seem to wear out. The powerful air conditioner helps us to stay cool in the deathly hot summers here in New Orleans, too! I have now owned this car for almost five years and it still feels just as new as when I bought it. I feel like my Outlander will last for many more years to come, and I am so grateful for that! I would recommend this car to anyone!

Great Family Vehicle
We purchased this vehicle when we had a new baby and needed to accommodate a stroller and car seat on a regular basis. We traded in a new Mitsubishi Eclipse. My husband wasn't pleased with the change, but this vehicle has been a blessing for our family. We have, in the past, been able to fit both adults, the baby and our older daughter along with three of her friends in the vehicle. It's spacious enough for us to take on an extended vacation as well as comfortable to drive for a long period of time. I use this vehicle to get around town everyday and run errands or go to work and I like the gas mileage a lot. It came with a backup camera which was a huge upgrade for me and has made life a lot easier. It also had a great sound system installed which is nice for the rare occasions I leave the kids at home. We live in Florida, so it's very hot and the sun roof doesn't get tons of use, however it's a nice feature for the odd cool day. We also got the optional third row and if we had to do it again we would probably leave that out for the extra space provided in other models. (We wouldn't have fit all the teenagers without it though.) My biggest complaint is the expense of the size of tire they chose to put on it. It's 3 times more than the last vehicle I owned. Other issues we have had is that installing the car seat in a rear-facing orientation has led to the seat being ruined by the baby's shoes. There was really nothing we could safely do to protect the seat and baby at the same time.
