I love my Xterra.
First off my Xterra looks nice. It's not big and bulky but very chic. It looks as if its ready for off road or a night on the town. I love the room in the back...I show dogs, and there is plenty of room for my equipment and dogs. It has a very smooth ride and best thing is when and if I go off road the 4x4 is amazing. I'm never worried about getting stuck...it not only gets the traction but has the torque to pull me out. I also love the comfort of the seats. Makes those long drives to show much easier. I like the cosmetic roof racks, side steps and the contrast to the sleek body. For an SUV, it gets great gas mileage. Doesn't require a ton of maintenance. I swear it'll go forever with just the basics. I should know. I've put a good 6,000 miles on it in just two weeks time. I also like the four door. I have a family, and we all fit...all five of us. Well eight if you count the dogs...I love that it can pull a medium trailer if needed. Now the only things I don't like are the small leg space in the backseat and the fact that the cargo area seems so high up. I need a ramp to load my dogs...but at least there's space for it. Despite its few flaws, and I do mean just two flaws, I'm hooked and will always look for another Nissan Xterra when this one finally gives up many more years from now.

Great Car - Poor Gas Mileage
I love driving the Nissan Xterra! The body is great, and I sit up so high that I feel safe when driving this vehicle. The car handles really well. It is responsive and it also has a great turn radius. The greatest use we have had out of the car is the ability it has to tow. We have taken large trailers in order to help move many things out of house. It helped us to move our washer and dryer when we bought it. The car also looks very nice. The only problem is truly the gas mileage. Because it is an older vehicle and it is an SUV, it eats up gas like crazy! We only get about 15 miles per gallon. This is made even worse when we are towing something with the car. If it got better gas mileage, we would drive it more often. It really is more fun to drive! Also, you do not need to worry about being stuck in this car. It is four wheel drive. This car can easily handle going off the road. A nice little plus is that it has a sunroof! I should also mention that even without a trailer, the car holds a lot. It has a significant amount of trunk space, and the seats fold down for even more storage. The seats, however, do not lay flat and that hinders the amount a storage a little bit. We have been able to fit a lot in the back, though!

A worthy purchase.
Due to an auto accident that totaled my previous vehicle, I was forced in to a situation where I had to obtain a new vehicle and quickly. There wasn't time for much research, and so once the check from the at-fault's driver's insurance company arrived, I opted to seek out a make that I was at least somewhat familiar with, having owned on in the past -- the Nissan. The Xterra is just the right size for my needs. It has a quality seating and a good amount of console space in the front. I have found that it handles quite well despite being 17 years old; however, it also had very low mileage for its age when I bought it. It has a very nice large back seat, which is a great for my dog, and an even better far rear area, which can hold a lot more than it looks like it should be able to. Additionally, it has a roof rack in the event you need to add on even more space.
