This car has been great for driving long distances. I travel across several states by car a few times a year, and my belongings not only fit perfectly in the hatchback trunk space, but I have never experienced any engine problems or anything mechanically like that. I don't know much about cars, so to avoid these types of problems is the most important thing for me. The mileage is also very good for long road trips, even when gas prices rise I seem to be getting great mileage for the distances I travel. There is no rattling or creaking while driving, and the brakes are as strong as when I first drove it. Even if they have been replaced in the last year or so, I never felt in danger of failing breaks. The small size is perfect for someone who likes to travel light and slip through traffic without feeling like a huge bolder in the road. I can also speed up quickly in order to avoid danger because of the small, lightweight build. The air conditioning has never faltered and always runs quickly, never takes too much time to work itself up. I never feel in danger of this car breaking down.

Like most Toyotas the Solara is really dependable, a quality vehicle and performs well with little maintenance needed. I have had the car for about 3 years now and have not had to do anything aside from changing oil, tires, breaks and battery. The engine is powerful for the size and type of vehicle and handles hills really well with little loss in acceleration.

This is a great car for the price. Sporty and fun. Very stylish looking. Great interior space. Most importantly it gets great gas mileage!
