Great Economy Priced Family Car
I went from a big Expedition to the Sentra. I really was surprised at the size of the car. The interior is fairly roomy, and it has great leg space. We have two children still in car seats, despite one being rear facing we didn't even have to move the passenger side seat up. For a low budget car, Nissan really outdid themselves. The Bluetooth capability is amazing and very user friendly. It's great being able to have a hands free ability to make and receive phone calls. The air conditioning system is great as it keeps the entire car cool for the little ones, as well. Not to mention the gas efficiency is amazing on this car. I'm really shocked by how well built the car is and the fact that it gets such great gas mileage.

Expected more
The 2013 Nissan Sentra is a very nice looking car. It comes in a variety of nice colors. It promises 39 miles to the gallon. After getting past those two facts, the dislikes begin to really pile up. The miles per gallon you will be realistic driving will be around 34, which is still good, but far from the projected high. The interior has some nice leather details like the steering wheel and shifter, but a lot of the leather detailing is actually plastic and cloth is everywhere, which is very disappointing. My girlfriend's dad has the Nissan Altima SL and that still has the cloth interior. I was also promised Bluetooth and then I got into the car and it had no Bluetooth, I asked for another one and they said they did not have any on the lot. The engine runs very nicely, but when you are in traffic it tends to want to go forward when you want to stop and when you go down hills the rpms jump up and the engine starts to make very loud noises. I have gone back to Nissan multiple times asking why this is and they say it is only normal. One thing I have had fun doing is driving in Sport Mode, the manual there is a warning that this will decrease the Gas mileage, which is understandable. The car then has a kick and drives like a car with turbo, which is a lot of fun, although I have only driven two or three times in sport mode because I do a lot of driving and want to conserve the gas mileage. I had done a lot of car shopping before purchasing a Nissan. I had gone to Mitsubishi, Toyota, Acura, and Ford and even brought my mechanic friend along. My family has had a very good track record with Nissan, due to fact my father had owned a '92 Nissan Sentra for 10+ years and had minimal problems. Therefore, I have been disappointed on a lot of aspects, in my opinion Nissan has become cheaper in its building and eventually this will catch up with them and their sales will plummet. I am happy I leased the car because I will not be purchasing from them again after the lease is up.

Sentra is Good, Not Great
The vehicle was my father-in-law's, and my husband and I purchased it from him. The Nissan Sentra is a decent car, but if I were to buy another car, it probably wouldn't be a Sentra. Firstly, I will never again buy a black or dark-colored car. The state I live in is extremely hot, and the black exterior and the black interior materials make it sometimes unbearable. On sunny days, my hands have been burned on the steering wheel, which can be very frustrating. The air conditioning is not powerful enough to make up for the heat inside the car. Otherwise, the car performs all right. The brakes are very powerful, but it is difficult to bring the car up to speed when traveling on the highway. The car has lots of mileage on it and is still going strong. I expect we'll have it for at least two more years.
