New car in high school, useful but not very manly.
My car has treated me well for the years that I have owned it. My parents actually purchased the car new for me while I was in high school. I have had a few defects along the way. The electronic power steering blew in my car when the battery died and I jumped it, also a gas leak formed in my car. Both of these problems were relatively common with the Ion and my car was still under warranty, so they were taken care of at no cost. It gets relatively good gas mileage but not superb, and it is not a beast of a car by any means. I wouldn't change the car I purchased seven years ago and have no regrets in my decision.

Quality is lacking and it tends to be a rough ride.
The overall quality of the vehicle is low. Trim tends to pop off and the floor mats wear down very quickly. Also the ride is not very smooth, every bump on the road is felt.
But the car is great on gas mileage and it has lasted this long (purchased new) with minimal issues. The transmission has died once, but it has run smoothly since.

The vehicle has lasted me quite awhile and for that I am overall thankful, but there has been a number of issues with it that I feel shouldn't be occurring with 80000 miles. Some issues larger than others. I would not buy this car if I had the choice.
I bought my Saturn in 2004 and it has served me alright since I bought it. I might be a little bit bitter about recent issues with it, but some of them I would not expect to be happening before 80000 miles. I like the exterior look of it quite a bit, though the material is plastic. The interior is spacious and fits 4 people quite nicely for it being a coupe. Overall, I am slightly dissatisfied with my car.
