Sturdy, comfy, and reliable gas mileage
Although I bought my Saturn Ion used, I have enjoyed my time with the car very much. It may not be much of a looker, but it is a pretty reliable and fuel-efficient car. Size wise, the car is quite nice, and it has all of the features you would want such as good A/C, a nice sound system, and plenty of leg room. Not only that but despite the car being at 180,000 miles, it runs like a charm However, on the negative side, the car does seem to need a lot of oil changes, and some of the interior feels a bit fake and plastic compared to other vehicles. The steering wheel, for instance, is tiny! Overall though, I would recommend this car to anyone looking for an affordable vehicle to get you from point A to point B.

Great value
I purchased this vehicle about seven years ago when I was 16 to be my very first car, and I plan to keep driving it for at least two-three more years. It had been a very dependable and reliable car, and it is kind of amazing the very little amount of maintenance it has required since I've owned it. It is a smaller car, but it does not feel like a smaller car in terms of trunk space and driver/passenger interior space. In fact, the smaller size has truly been a benefit for me. It is very easy for me to get into even the more difficult parking spaces, and in terms of maneuverability/handling around curves and turns, I have not driven another vehicle that has begun to compare. Surprisingly, it also has a decent amount of get-up-and-go when it using it for my normal work commute (i.e., little luggage and one passenger). When I have multiple passengers and luggage, like for exactly going on a road trip, the engine starts to act its actual "weight class," but that's as would be expected. This vehicle also gets surprisingly good fuel economy as well. Even with the smaller tank size, I fuel up once a week mostly out of habit than of necessity. I likely get about 300-400 miles per full tank, much better than other vehicles I have driven.
